USB Type-C Charging Overview

No information, I wanted.

USB C connectors are the worst garrbage connectors ever.
You quickly find this out if you're blind or visually impaired.
These POS's don't last a week before they are ruined and no longer work.
How they ever got approved is byond me. What kind of s1ckphvck greenlighted this sh1t.

I've noticed my c charger charges rapidly the correct direction up. if I put it upside down, it charges slowly. Is that because of C1 and C2?

I Don't trust this tiny connector to carry 100w power.

i still dont understand .. how the hell that thin cable can delivery up to 200 watts ?

Will this info allow me (hypothetically speaking) to make a USB-C to Audio Jack 3.5mm/USB-C Power Only cable adapter to use headphones and charge at the same time Android devices?

I have a oneplus 6t phone with strange USBC charging problem. When I use a moto charger the Vcc is 5v and the cc channels are connected it works , but when I use any different charger the readings are the same on those pins but phone says plugged in can't charge right now. What could cause such a fault?

does not explain how they can get 100W thru 33 gauge wires.

I have lost 1 ground pin from lower left inside usb - c of my samsung phone, is my device still safe even if I jave 3 ground pins left?

Please be aware that the video shows the cc pins at the wrong position. The highlighted pin is the VBUS used for power. The cc1/cc2 pins are the ones next to it.

is it possibile that my phone is not chraging with a 15w charger but is charging with 5w charger.Can u please tell the probelm if u know

So if you took a standard USB-C cable (mostly for phones), & an approximately 45W (15V x 3A) laptop/chromebook charger, & replaced the barrel type with the USB-C, will the new connector hold up to 3A thru it? Thank you & very informative! To do a mod to the charger, a 3.0 version has to be used? Thank you 🤓

z370 and later motherboards that have onboard usb type-c will not offer fast charging to android devices that support fast charging on type-c. even with the dac-up features (+0.03), it's still not enough power. in fact, the regular USB port seems to be charging the phone faster than type-c, but still slower than a block. it's too bad, it's been 15 years and desktop PCs still can't charge the most commonly used devices.
