Thanks for this video Louise. This is very helpful for me, I've tried incorporating ink into my acrylic abstract paintings and every time it has been a disaster. Once the water hits the ink then it just runs everywhere and ruins everything I was trying to do. Before I discovered abstract art pen and ink was my main medium so I thought using it with paint would be a good idea. After a couple of failed attempts I chucked it as something that just doesn't work. This shows me that it is possible if done in the right way. I'm sure there are alot of technical aspects for why I'm not reaching my goals with it like too much ink, water or paint but I haven't quite figured out what they are yet. The part about getting out of my own head is helpful for me because I think once the painting reaches a certain level of messiness then I lack the foresight to see it through to something beautiful. It just looks like a big mistake to me. I'll try it again perhaps with a little more moderation and will keep experimenting.
ОтветитьWhat is the massive difference between gloss medium and white glue?
ОтветитьJust watched this a second time. Watching your "whys" about composition is so helpful!
ОтветитьWatching and rewatching as I love your style and way of thinking-your process. Im learning lots. Would be good to see you just paint different abstracts sped up. Youre fabulous-as an artist and teacher!
ОтветитьYour videos are so helpful.I plan to watch this several times as there are so many tidbits of information that you throw out there. These tidbits are little golden nuggets to me. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьI love watching this process, I’d like to try gouache instead of inks because it’s all I have but it will be fun
Ответить😍😍😍
ОтветитьHi Louise, just finished watching your amazing 3 part video of triptych collage and image transfer thank you do much. Could you please tell me how you attached the image transfer. Thank you Vickie
ОтветитьI LOVE the ones you call, 'too messy.' (love the other ones, too)
ОтветитьDo you then frame these under glass, or just mat them, or transfer them to a sturdier substrate like a canvas ?
Best way to offer for sale?
Love this, makes mixed media seem accessible. Which of the fabriano papers was this ?
ОтветитьWhen your music started, I looked around for Chef John.
ОтветитьThank you. There is nothing specific that I want to do right now, so this free flowing demonstration is encouraging me to “cut loose”.
ОтветитьI love the ones you don't much like, I love how bold, vibrant and "messy" they are. All of them are wonderful.
ОтветитьHi Louise - this is still one of my favourite 'Louise' demos. Trying to entice an artist friend to join me for a session painting along with you. Hope you are creating happily.
ОтветитьU need a little gold in it to make it pop
ОтветитьSooo Good i love them❤
ОтветитьHi, Louise! Do you add water to your gloss medium? It look more liquid than mine :)
ОтветитьI learned so much from this video. Your "out loud" thinking as you make decisions in the moment about where to mark next and with what was really helpful. There are as many choices to make in abstract as in figurative painting it seems. I watch you in the morning with my cuppa. You and my coffee kick start my date to get my marks down. Thank you!
ОтветитьLove your work. Love your teaching.
ОтветитьWonderfully helpful. Thank you
Ответитьwhat is a posca pen? how does it compare to a pitt pen or a sharpie?
ОтветитьIts Great
ОтветитьLovely just lovely...Ive been going back to the videos missed..........need to locate you on IG too.....loves
ОтветитьLove how you do it so seamlessly
ОтветитьThank you very much just love the way you express your thoughts in the process. Very helpful!!
ОтветитьMillä liimaat paperit?
ОтветитьIs it possible to know if you put some gesso on your mixed media paper?
ОтветитьTo me this is masterful🦋👌
ОтветитьThank you Louise. I appreciate your sensitivity and generosity
ОтветитьThis is great thanks for sharing
ОтветитьThankyou Louise. Great watching the process. I also love the marks on the tape when you remove, like little paintings, vignettes and yes a tendency to remove the tape too early 😉🙏🤗
ОтветитьWhere will you sell these to make money ? Curious, thanks
ОтветитьStill thinking of Ted Hughes?
ОтветитьWow. That was fabulous!
ОтветитьYes it was very helpful. All of your videos are very helpful. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
ОтветитьI have watched this video several times over the years and repeat it to refresh my mind… it gives me courage to start without overthinking the process…to give myself a problem to resolve…to challenge my brain. Almost like a puzzle. Brilliant strategy for me! Thank you.
ОтветитьA lovely way to play, experiment and create...great video
ОтветитьThank you so much Louise I really really enjoyed watching you create those pictures from your master board. I really love ❤❤❤ them. I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up too
ОтветитьWhat’s the linc to this snappy jazz music?
ОтветитьThank you SO much. You've help me so much. ❤
ОтветитьThe white of the paper seems so important to me… I need a resting place to be able to see the rest of the painting.
ОтветитьAre those papers where Louise is painting gessoed? Thanks!
ОтветитьInspiring, clever, fun, absorbing.
ОтветитьLove that you let us into your thinking and process. EXCELLENT!! MUCH HELP! THANKS!
ОтветитьI love the idea of not being too thinky thinky!
ОтветитьGreat, thank you.
ОтветитьI like them all.
ОтветитьHelpful and fun to watch! I'm going to try masking off a large sheet and making several small paintings like this. It increases the chance I'll like at least one of them!
