Invincible Season 1 - Cosmonaut Quickie

Please review some ninja turtles shows snd movies

2 years late on this one and i'm sure i"m far from the first to say it but Mark's girlfriend acts completely consistent to her character throughout this show. She goes off on Mark even though she knows he's Invincible because she is upset and betrayed that he hasn't told her and is keeping secrets.

the first scene setting the bar so high and being such a huge plot advances that the everything else afterwards feels kinda small is true... however another effect it had on the entire rest of the show was huge in a positive way. the hour of buildup, making you let your guard down, then doing THAT. really set like a game of thrones precedent. that feeling of "any character could die at any moment" so even when nothing is happening, even really mundane stuff, still feels tense. i never let my guard down again for the rest of the show. kept wondering when the next thing would go horribly wrong. being so quiet and so small the rest of the time made me feel like they were trying to make me let my guard down again. once you set the expectation that the show will try to set expectations and then subvert them to shock you, you pay attention to everything even when nothing actually ends up happening.

First time I watched it I didn’t even seem Omni man kill the guardians and it was lowkey more engaging then if I had watched that part

Intrapersonal connections not interpersonal (I just wanted to correct something and it was the only thing I found)

The biggest plot twist to me was that Mark Hamill was barely in the show

Great review as usual Gota say. Very interesting viewpoints that I haven’t thought of. Thing is, it’s just not that inventive anymore. I mean it’s very well done, but I can’t care about a completely invincible hero. It’s just boring. You’re not interested at all about him fighting or what he will do to anyone, cause he is just untouchable. Also it’s just violent and gore for the sake of it. It’s not even inventive gore. Maybe im just lame or not very versed in tv shows or what makes them good. Just isn’t a very interesting base to me

in reference to the “janky visuals” — I would say that the nuclear hammer scene was really well done

As a fan of the comic, the animation still bothers me man. It's so stiff and choppy.... like don't get me wrong, i know animation is not easy. They're using limited animation most of the time. Idk if it's stylistic choices or cutting corners. Im just slightly disappointed because it was funded by Amazon, so i thought we gonna get some amazing animation like arcane (yes, i know it's 3d), castlevania, korra, etc...
Guess they used their budget for VAs.

season 2 is gonna be awesome!!!

Amber brings the show down a full letter grade for me unfortunately

I don't watch a lot of anime so that's probably why i didn't mind the animation

i enjoyed the boys far more. invincible was good, but aside from a couple memorable scenes i have no desire to rewatch it.

I personally did not like this show at all. The only places that i liked it was the beginning and the climax. I personally feel it's overrated

I really enjoyed Eve's arc in the show. She simultaneously is pulled towards the superhero life because of both her values and because her parents continue to try to control her and giver her unreasonable demands. It's an interesting story to see play out.

I liked a lot of this and wanted to like it more, but a bunch of little things took me out of it. The biggest issue was how much I was annoyed with or didn't like so many characters by the end. Some you're not supposed to like because they're jerks or evil (thankfully those have depth and you see reasonable sides of), others are not supposed to be unlikable, but really are (Amber), others are very likeable but get so little time (William).

Bro you really don’t find the mauler twins story interesting damn I understand amber but all of these stories are extremely important no matter how small the comic is very long and is usually to be read in one sit so season 2-3 will be far better than 1. It will definitely surpass the boys

For some reason the gore didn’t impact me at all. The sounds and bright blood didn’t sell it for me.

I defended Amber through the first six episodes. I was like “OK she could be a little overdramatic, but still reasonable, I still think she’s really good” and then episode seven comes along, and she knew the whole time?! Then why was she being so horrible to Mark? WTF??

I actually didn’t see the post credit scene of the first episode so who killed the guardians of the globe as a legit mystery to me lol

10/10 in my opinion

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that the animation was inconsistent with how it was animated. Certain sequences, like Nolan vs the Guardians or Nolan vs Mark, stellar and beautiful. Other sequences, like the dead birds falling from the sky after the hammer, you can definitely tell the studio said "Good enough" and moved onto the next thing.

I only agree with that the show was really good and his girlfriend sucks. The animation actually surprised me at many times. It's more about the story than the art. It's Amazon, not Ghibli

I like the mauler twins, but the pedophile robot and the whole mars plot had me bored

I was hoping Omni-Man's motivation for killing the Guardians would be more complex than just "my intergalactic overlords told me to", so that was a bit disappointing
