Thank you Daru!! Nice video!
ОтветитьA moist sponge does a better job. No sanding, no mess
ОтветитьShe is the greatest. I just watch her stuff first and get the goods.
ОтветитьWatched 5 years videos on using this stuff. This was the best , most informative, to the point. Made those dudes look incompetent. You go, girl!
ОтветитьGreat video!…question, I have 2 big spots of pealing paint, how do I fix this? Do I have to take all the paint off the whole wall?
ОтветитьThank you. Wish I could send you my wall holes artwork . So many you have covered just in the video. Thank you so much again.
Ответить“No, it was not in the pool” - George Costanza 😂😂😂😂😂 great video! Thanks for taking the time to show us a few methods
ОтветитьWould have like to see a final close up slow shot of all the reults one by one
ОтветитьYou said drywall compound was better because it is sandals. Then you sanded the spackle
Ответитьhow long does it take to dry this pink spackle compound? Thanks
ОтветитьCool and useful😊
ОтветитьMix some Plaster of Paris with your mud and it will dry much faster than the spackling.
ОтветитьI appreciate the detail of your instructions. Heading to the store now! Thank you!!
ОтветитьSo. What do I do when I need to put a new drywall anchor in the hole I just patched? Will spackle handle that OK, or do I need to use real mud? I have a 13mm X 18mm ish hole in the wall at the moment I need to patch.
Obviously after letting everything cure properly.
Omg I just found your channel as I'm fixing up and fixer upper !! So amazing 👏🏾
ОтветитьFirst time subscriber. Good info. Thanks!
ОтветитьWhat do you advise for raised spots on your wall? I tried sanding but it doesn't seem to work.
ОтветитьIf any of the brown paper is exposed do I need a dedicated primer? Or can I paint it with paint that says it's primer + paint?
ОтветитьNicely shown
ОтветитьThis is one of the clearest videos I’ve watched to fix the holes on drywall, thank you!
ОтветитьI can't tell you how much I absolutely love seeing gorgeous women on here doing things like this! Just proves you don't need a man to help you with stuff around the house you can do it yourself LOL!
ОтветитьI helped someone fix their drywall and paint after watching this video. I also planted cedar trees after watching your videos. Awesome channel. Thanks Daru
ОтветитьHELP!! I made a big mistake and filled all the holes with pink putty WITHOUT pushing back in the raised part with the back of the putty knife. And now I have a bunch of raised holes! UG! What a nightmare. Also I may have covered over some paper that was exposed from yanking out the screws on the wall. what do I do now?? Any suggestions? Can I sand it down before I prime it? W
ОтветитьIs there a reason why just regular paint primer wouldn't work for the tear? I'm not sure I want to buy a gallon of that stuff you (and many) use for such a small project.
ОтветитьFantastic!
ОтветитьI can actually hear someone in the background, "Dammit, honey stop putting holes in our walls!" I caught the joke about shrinkage in the pool, and all I can say is that's a complete, and total myth! You can't prove that, LOL. All jokes aside though, thank you for your insight with this stuff because it's incredibly helpful. I just wish I knew about it BEFORE I gouged a huge hole in the wall from ripping out one of those drywall anchor screws. Thankfully though, the entire room it's in is going to be my testing room for an almost complete drywall teardown/replacement.
I want to do the ceiling, and 3 of the walls because the 4th wall will be part of a much bigger reno later down the road. All I have to do is talk my wife into buying a drywall hoist, and a few odds, ends, and materials, and I'll be good to go. Hopefully I don't break the house in the process. Especially since my old nickname used to be "broke it trying to fix it." 🤣
That’s great for smooth walls but what about textured walls?
ОтветитьWhat brand is the latex primer ?
ОтветитьThanks for the great tips I really learned something 😊👍🏼
ОтветитьHow about the big hole
ОтветитьThank you for pointing out the brown spot primer detail!
ОтветитьGreat video. I would recommend using a hot mud like 5 or 20 min for faster drying times.
ОтветитьLMAO...." It was not in the pool!" I see you fellow Seinfeld fan....LOL ( Great overview very useful and made very user friendly!!! Thank you for this video.
ОтветитьI keep some of the 20 minute dry time mud (dry mix) around for fixes like this. If you use warm water it accelerates the dry time a bit. You have to get used to working quicker with it , and working with smaller batches when you mix it. Nice video ...
ОтветитьGlad I found this one. I have about a dozen small to medium size drywall holes to repair. I'd be lost without your video. Thanks!!!
ОтветитьI always use the handle of a large screwdriver as a kind of nail set like you did. Also I would never use pre mixed mud, as it’s an air dry and could take overnight to dry. Easy sand, or Durabond is a chemical dry, and you can quick dry with a heat gun. But love your videos, you do an excellent job.
ОтветитьIt was not in the pool 🤣😉😅
ОтветитьI'm a huge fan of the squeeze tube spackle that comes in like a large toothpaste shaped container with tip on it. You can just squeeze however much you need and you dont have all that waste compared to using buckets of spackle. Its also less messy. If you have 300 finish nail holes to fill with spackle, it's definitely faster to use a squeeze tube.
ОтветитьAwesome! Thanks for sharing. Be safe.
ОтветитьHi there! I just found your channel yesterday when searching for how to handle stripped screws. I’ve now watched quite a few of your videos and they are all great! Your content is so easy to understand and follow, super informative, and all kept to a reasonable length. I’d also like to let you know that I appreciate that you aren’t following the same formula as everyone else with the “hey, guys”… “and, be sure to click that ‘like’, ‘follow’”, blah blah blah 😁 … I appreciate that you just get in there and start on the content directly without all that nonsense! But, you’re clever in giving us a “next video” to watch. Love, love, love your channel and can’t wait to watch and learn even more from you!
ОтветитьAnother Fantastic video Daru 👍Great work! I love the pressure you use on wall so not to add more material than needed. I think many make the mistake of leaving too much and making a hump. Love your tips❤
