2022 Bentley Continental GT Speed review. Is this the ultimate Bentley on sale today?

As a GT comfort trumps speed , so I would choose this over the Aston Martin

That color...no. It's the same thing I just saw on a Crown Vic with a lift kit, 24 inch rims and rubber bands for tires, oh and a trunk that's in serious need of some dynamat.

Plastic grill.... oh noooo....its lowers the class of a Bentley

That color combo is proof that money does not buy class.

It's always annoying when car reviewers give us "mpg" instead of the proper measurement: liters per kilometer.

Not so sure I agree with Harry on this one. It's first and foremost a GT and driving it at 8/10ths is it's thing. You'll never get that full10/10 from a barge like this.

The face of the car is still a bit 'meh', yet somehow, the overall profile of the car is gorgeous. I'd have it in Racing Green though.

The black trim's not to my taste, colour's nice :-)! I think Bentley have hit a sweet spot between being functional enough as a normal car, "posh" enough to be a more special than mercedes/BMW but also somehow more relatable (less snobish) than a Rolls Royce or Maybach. Well done :-)! Showing my peasant status but how do you measure the oil level if no dipstick?

For me, a GT like this one would be best with a strong, low reving diesel engine with effortless rapid progress without haring to rev it. The V12 TDI would have been perfect, and even the V8 TDI would do fine.

It's a lovely car, but personally I really don't like how 'luxury' has become synonymous with heavy. If i had the money and was in the market for a super-GT, I know I'd happily pay double for the car to be built with super-exotic lightweight materials that keep the weight below 1700kg. To me, that's what a hypercar should be. I don't understand these £multi-million 'hyper' cars that are barely any faster than a GT3 RS or a McLaren 720S around a track. Give me the driveability and luxury of a Bentley - but make sure it doesn't add weight! That's what a true 'hyper' car would be imo.

The car is perfect apart from sounds your right. I like my engine noises to be loud and aggressive and I think that this car would be so spot on if it just had a little more ummphhh to it

Something I’ve noticed in reviews of both this car and the Superlaggera is how much you hear the rocks in the Aston. :/ This is the first platform for Bentley built with Bentley in mind. Remember how the lawsuit between Rolls and Bentley swap what VW wanted? They made a Rolls into a Bentley in the first gens. This one ☝️ is their first true Bentley because their platform had their input from the beginning.

I am of the opinion that [Engineer ignorance] that the [Audi] trend of splitting 4 wheel drive cars to be 80% rear/20% front is a mistake that eliminates the best advantage of 4 wheel traction performance. If a split was set up to be 45% rear / 55% front, that would be Magic, in the hands of a front wheel drive expert or a genuine differential master 4 wheel hunter killer winner. The Bentley would not rear slip on powering up on any angle. Harry Stef.
