Did a run this morning, tried putting more weight through the big toe. Felt like a stronger run 🎉
ОтветитьPeople with APT obviously have issues with balance and toe and this is also because of the tight pelvis and the position. Complicated :( Great content as always.
ОтветитьCara, você fala demais! Ninguém aqui quer aula de anatomia e sim que se mostre como atingir os resultados!
ОтветитьI wonder how orthopedic insoles will hinder or help this considering they fill the arch of the foot ?
ОтветитьWhat if you have bunions?
ОтветитьI'm a massage therapist. I have been watching videos about PRI and gate cycles for about two or three weeks now. You're the first person that has explained about the big toe. It had been mentioned but it really didn't go into depth. Thank you!
ОтветитьConor I feel as though I have been walking without hitting my big toe for several years due to this, can a PT help me with this or do I need to remove this bunion? Thank you so much:-)!
ОтветитьSo we should not do full glute bridge?
ОтветитьHow can I activate my gluteus maximus if I have a bunion? IT is important to me because I swim and cannot improve my kick without strong and active gluteus maximus
ОтветитьWell lm screwed..had bunion surgery on both feet..now my big toes don’t touch the floor..need glute work for sciatica ..what to do…🇨🇦
ОтветитьGreat clear explanation, I’m training to improve my 5km running times to below 27 minutes as a 58 year old male.
I’ve been focusing on improving my hip flexibility and strength with 20 minutes of stretching before and after my runs. This really makes so much sense
So if there is a lack of big toe function, and thus hip internal rotation, would that be a recipe for knee injury or pain?
ОтветитьGreat information
ОтветитьOmg. I wasn't even looking for this and this is my issue. Thank you much. 😢😢😢 wow.
ОтветитьUnfortunately after a hip replacement the big toe on the other side lost mobility. Thus my balance on that side is shot. Leading to a fall in which 3 ribs fractured. And my ankle is now compromised. It there any way I can shift this?
ОтветитьYou just woke up my big toe. It thanks you.
ОтветитьI was wondering how my beginner ballet lessons helped my glute activation so much. Now i understand it probably has something to do with the emphasis on the big toes in dance moves.
ОтветитьValuable information! Thank you
ОтветитьMy glutes are so highly developed that gas actually has trouble escaping from my butt cheeks. As silly as it sounds it is 100% non- bs. I’m dead serious, the sound resonates as the trapped gas travels through muscle mass.
ОтветитьThank you very much for the very helpful material that’s helping me a lot.
ОтветитьDoes the split squat have to be weight
ОтветитьInteresting. I think I have been walking on the outsides of my feet for a very long time. Since a hamstring injury several months ago I have been trying to "learn to walk" again and trying to get a comfortable gait. It's weird having to think about walking :) I'll start putting my big toe into the mix. Thanks again.
ОтветитьI wow, I have seen lots of information about glutes. And never seen this. Thank you
ОтветитьWhen doing a deadlift I was instructed to stay on my heels, so my glutes don't work and im not progressing. Is this correct?
ОтветитьI know you probably get this everday but holy cow, almost everytime i watch your videos i learn so much about the body, even just learning about it like this i feel like my mind muscle connections skyrocket through these motions
Much appreciated sir
Quit the constant click bait titles. It's a bullshit practice and a total turn off
ОтветитьGenius !!
ОтветитьI have a question in regards to how this works with the screw home mechanism of the knee. From my understanding during closed chain movements the femur internally rotates to get full knee extension. But from what you are saying the femur should externally rotate at the top of the squat to get glutes engaged. Wouldn't that go against the mechanics of the knee? Could you explain the mechanics of this and how that works? Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you 🙏
ОтветитьActually, there are two things Nadal can't live without. First, his hair, and second, a life without pulling his knickers out of his ass.
ОтветитьGreat stuff...every1,. Teaches.. evry1!
ОтветитьBoring. Get to the point quicker,
Ответитьwait everything I have read about from and function is heel striking is not good, too much shock and concussion. We should be landing more flatter on foot or more forward.
ОтветитьConor great job! I have particularly high arches so this really hit home for me!
ОтветитьWhat if you have hallux valgus on one foot due to an Achilles tear? That big toe drifts medial on me. I’ve been trying to wear Vibram 5 fingers to address this. Any thoughts/ideas? Thanks!
ОтветитьI prefer gluten free foods. Hope I am not making a mistake.
ОтветитьVery good
ОтветитьPlease sir,Explain in Hindi or English subtitles
ОтветитьIn exercise 1 i think u get more of the glutes if the knee doesnt bend over toes right? If the knees r going over toes u have more q triceps acriviation i think. Very nice videos nice xplanation
ОтветитьI have never, ever been told this about how important our big toe really is,not iven from my physiotherapy..,i am just so thankful for what you are teaching🙏💞
ОтветитьThis is so helpful. Thank you.
ОтветитьExcellent guide: slow, and you demonstrate in a follow-along progression how to activate and have a relationship with the movements in our bodies. That’s giving us back our power!
I’d love to see a video on the rear foot elevated split squat (and your explanation of the position of the rear foot related to femur length and glute activation).
Tried keeping my big tow down and “wah lah” - I could feel external rotation happening conscientiously for the first time
ОтветитьSuper confusing
ОтветитьDude you are talking way over your audience
I have a Master of Science degree and you completely lost me with internal and external rotations
Had never heard of this before ... thank you!
ОтветитьIs there a specific shoe design or style that will promote this e.g. a rocker style shoe. Thanks
Ответитьwhere have you been all my life? This is exactly what I've needed and so clearly explained!
Ответить
