How To Install OpenCV in Visual Studio Code (Mac)

I am facing a problem. If i press q on cv window while on vscode+juoyter. It crashes the kernel

is this method after installing will it work also for C++ ? sorry i come from Processing IDE which is a lot more easier to install and run and im just getting started with VS code and python is not my cup of tea
