I prefer remo
Coated emperor x and coated controlled sound
Can you make a video on "How to Choose a Tom Head" like you did with the Evans snare drum heads?
Ответить1. Is your kick drum evans level 360
2. why do you chose coated over clear heads?
THANKS!
i was a fan of Remo but now im using Evans Drum heads now
Ответитьhey it's nick swardson!
ОтветитьI bought evans for the first time in my life on the last head change they were the EC2 heads. On a 12 piece Mapex Saturn Pro kit. they just took so long on breaking in. I must have had to keep tuning them for a month before the settled in. But to comment on the new 360 heads....I've always (over 30 years) wondered why all brands of heads didnt fit the bearing edge before now...what took em so long. This is how heads should have always have fit. Im back to Remo now tho...the constant tuning of the EC2's left me with disatisfaction. REMO's never had to be tuned so much starting out new.
ОтветитьI love Evans the first Evansdrumhead I brought was the Ec2's when it had the metal ring around it
ОтветитьWhat model 360 are those?
ОтветитьI really love my evans g2 clear head on my Starclassic birch bubinga kit. I'd love to try ec2's but don't want to waste money and find out they sound terrible and require constant tuning... Any suggestions?
ОтветитьCan someone give me a hand? I'm trying to find a way of getting level 360 coated G2's in the UK and I'm having no luck at all.. anyone got a link or two??
ОтветитьStill don't beat coated emperors I used to love evans But i tried a Remo coated emperor on my snare and WOW theres my sound but everyone has there opinions
ОтветитьJared...what do you use for your Bass drum head?????????!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьBut let's not forget about the mics, eq, and compression.
Ответитьthose are g2 or g3? thank you
Ответитьremo doesn't have this same technology? ?
ОтветитьH iJared, I really like the innovation but I think that the fact that the drumhead sits in a different way than other heads has to do with plain luck. There are tolerances in the manufacturing process of both the drums and the heads that in no way can guarantee that the head will always sit as you showed. Other than this I love the video and I will buy this drumheads but not because it happens to sit better on one particular drum! ;-) Keep up the good work!
ОтветитьI really wish they didn't do so many things with the mics
ОтветитьThanks for this demo of the Evans®/D'Addario® B12G2, B14G2, and B16G2 batters in session at the trade-show booth. I'm in the process of re-heading my Tama®/Hoshino® New Imperialstar™ kit; the stock heads are single-ply crimplocks of uncertain manufacture with damping rings on the kick heads only. As of January 2016 the kick drum, an IMB22F (22" x 18"), packs an Evans® BD22EMADHW 2-ply/20-mil clear batter with the EQ1 fabric center patch and light damping ring, and a Tama®-branded Remo® ES-1022-00 1-ply/10-mil resonant (Hoshino Gakki P/N BH22B); the set-up plays as low as the drum dimensions will support.
As of 13 January 2016 the IMS145 renew is in progress; the Remo® SA-0114-00 3-mil reso performs well enough, but the limited tension range available to the stock lugs indicates the Evans® B14HD (5+7-mil) as the best batter choice for this specific drum; the snare unit will be a Tama® MS20SN14S, which straps to the strainers in such a way as to mitigate the risk of reso puncture. The toms are slated for Evans® BnnEC2S frost batters and Remo® BD-03nn-00 7.5-mil resonants, as finances allow.
I bought these exact drum heads, they sound so nice on your drum set but the echo is horrendous on my drum set. I have moon gel on them too. Any suggestions?
Ответитьwhat is the reso of these
ОтветитьLet's hear the kit without it being mic'd up...
ОтветитьFALK... Totally heard that wrong
ОтветитьOk, and how about showing us the EQ settings you used on that thing!!!
Ответитьwhat evans heads are you using man
ОтветитьI don't know but to me it's.. just selling something new that... nobody needs.. Why? Well, since we have HOOPS.. that actually push the skin down (THE WAY YOU TIGHTEN IT..) to the edge already for hundereds of years while last couple of decades the drum sound doesn't suck.. And if.. It is NOT fault of the skin.. and this new technology will NOT solve the problem. It is the same as Pearl Eliminator's beaters.. They offer four sided ones. But since BD is rounded ( mine one is ), then how does it count whether the beater hits the skin vertically or horizontally... ??? :D You know what I mean? But I do get, that new things.. needed or not, with good advertising.. they sell.. They can sell well if properly hendeled as here in this video. I'm just tryig to appeal on those that need something new very often. For.. is it really new? To your drum sound?? Can you hear the difference? Can the fans hear it? From CD?? While they listen it in MP3.. in their smartphones... together with tons of other sound from the rest of the band.. But if you have to.. you have to.. I know this feeling too.. Just in case you don't have to.. then.. just because someone is trying to sell it to you.. DON'T.. :)
ОтветитьI have the 360 Level Black Hydraulic Heads and they sound amazing, I could say you really don't need any type of moon gels.
Ответитьok so what does yours sound without the mic setup because mine sounds nothing like :-( but I'm still happy:-)
ОтветитьI can't find anywhere to buy these heads he was using...could someone kindly comment the link or give me a website of where to find them :) that would be great
Ответитьi bought the same heads with the coasted style and i come home to find this in my recomended. i don't even watch a lot of drum videos (despite the fact that i havebeen a avid drummer since i was 7)
ОтветитьDo you use on top and bottom all Evans 360 heads or?
Ответитьso smart, why didn't anyone think of this before?
ОтветитьI also was a why would I ever switch to anything else from REMO? Well I switched to Evans and they sound amazing!
Ответитьouttro was on point man
ОтветитьHey Sir. Truly I'm thankful for your free video lessons. It helped me a lot. But I really want to ask your help.
I"m having a problem in reducing the noise coming out of the drums due to room structure. I can't do anything about it since it's a church really and I don't have a control of it.
But is there a chance in choosing some drum heads that could at least reduce the noise and what type should I choose ?
Looking forward for your reply Sir Jared.
Thank You sir for your help.
Remo> Evans
ОтветитьWondering what the bass drum batter head is ?
ОтветитьWhat he doesn't say is that Remo never had this problem and that it is just evans correcting their heads to sit properly. This video is purely to trick beginners into buying the Evans heads.
ОтветитьSo is it single ply or 2 ply?
ОтветитьG1 or G2 in this film?
ОтветитьFunny you used to be a teaching channel. Now you have degraded yourself to drummer's home shopping channel.
ОтветитьJust so people don’t get frustrated trying to get that sound the drum kit he is using is expensive and very very nice, the sound is also eq’d for better sound so don’t get frustrated haha
ОтветитьWhat interval is that between the 10” and 16?
ОтветитьSo you mean the head you are selling is the only one that fits the drum properly? Sad video
ОтветитьWho still watch this in 2020
ОтветитьLmao Jared FaUCK
ОтветитьWhich of the evens level 360 modal is he using? I got to buy one of those.
ОтветитьI just recently switched to Evans after playing Remo for nearly 10 years and once I got all the heads on all the toms and played them all together I was hooked immediately! Love the tunability for lows, mids, or highs. Evans is now my drumhead of choice!
ОтветитьWhatever happened to this drum set
ОтветитьExcellent video
