Hate midle console 😢😂
ОтветитьLooks like a great vehicle indeed
ОтветитьLooks likea
ОтветитьThat review actually made me a bit emotional. Hahaha.
I'm just doing some EV research and it's looking very good for the Ioniq 5.
No rear wiper so it's a no from me.
ОтветитьGot one on order £460month
ОтветитьCan you charge this car on a Tesla V3 Supercharger?
ОтветитьHey thanks for a helpful review. My wife and I are considering buying one of these. Now we just have to drive one. Really looking forward to it.
ОтветитьHave had my Ioniq 5 (SE with long range battery). I have been unable to put into words how it feels to drive it. So, I really was so pleased to hear you say it's deeply impressive and refined. I agree totally. It sounds corny, but after every drive I feel like I've meditated. And today a young lady waved me down in a parking lot to tell me what a "cool" car it was. Planning my first road trip in a couple of months. Nervous about charging on the road, but must start sometime. And, here in U.S. new, fast chargers are popping up all over.
ОтветитьJust got one based off this review 😅 fantastic, thanks!
ОтветитьI really like the way these look. If they truly are as good as reviews suggest, the western manufacturers need to watch out. The retro futuristic styling reminds of a Polo or a Golf sized vehicle despite the fact that this is basically MPV sized... clever design. Just a shame the charging infrastructure in the UK is years out yet from being adequate.
ОтветитьJust ordered 1 , how long will I wait?
ОтветитьThanks Alfie Moon for such an amazing review.
Ответитьsutcliffe is the best in the business, he should run his own channel
Ответить"It feels like a Hyundai Ioniq 5." That says a lot. It's something unlike other cars.
Ответитьtoyota just falling way far behind
ОтветитьWhy do UK auto journalists review electric cars as if the only way to charge one is public infrastructure? Simple rule: do not buy an electric car if you're going to be reliant on public charging. You should only buy an electric car if you can charge it overnight at home. This appears to be a far bigger issue in the UK than it does here in the US.
ОтветитьTest drove one. It’s good but not sure if I’d pay 50k for this.
ОтветитьThe Hyundai Ioniq 5 seems like a very promising vehicle. It’s exterior has a futuristic clean look. The parametric pixel headlights are amazing! It offers unique features on the inside which is good against the competition. The center console slides all the way back and can be used as a desk for the back passengers. The front relaxation seats recline all the way back. It has a top speed of 150 and charges in under 30 minutes. I think this suv will sell like hotcakes.
ОтветитьAs a Tesla owner, I urge everyone who is interested in an EV to buy this car.
ОтветитьGet the solar Tesla power wall and charge at home. I don't go on very many trips that far away anyway
ОтветитьI owned the top of the line one for 4 months. And I can say this is truly a luxury car. It's quiet, rides very smooth, and 4.6s fast. I can charge the thing less than 20 minutes on the road trip. Only thing I could maybe ask for is a bit of bigger trunk space for road tripping.
ОтветитьThe relaxing sounds are for your nap times while you charge for hours in the middle of a trip...I think the infrastructure is too immature in the US to make long trips cost efficient for most folks. I'd have to see some actual cost per mile reviews to buy an EV
ОтветитьThe World Car of the Year, The German Car of the Year and now!!! The Car And Driver Car of the Year!!! I am a proud owner of this nice ride!!!! TY Hyundai!!! Thank god I got rid of ever widening penal squeaky gaping Tesla smh
Ответить"Loads of space in all four seats as you can see"? I can see your knees are a little high up when you sitting on the backseat. Doesn't really qualify for "loads of space" as I can see. I was going to ask if you are wearing high heels. But then when you demostrate your shoes, it still seems to me it is the backseat which is a bit tight for your legs. Oh well, maybe its "loads of space" in every other direction then.
ОтветитьAlmost didn't recognize Steve at first, he seems to have lost a good 30 pounds or maybe even more. Good for you, sir. Put on a tweed jacket in your next supercar review, and you'll look positively dashing.
ОтветитьGreat review as always 🙏👏
Watching this as diesel is now only £1.82 litre ( from a high of £2).
Even more sense.
Ordered the Namsan edition yesterday... cannot wait (although looking like I will have to wait 12 months till I'll drive it! 😪).
ОтветитьHyundai Ioniq 5 is now at the top of my list if I ever purchase another car. If my telco data support center job had not been sent to India might be purchasing the 2023 when it comes out.
ОтветитьHyundai. Rhymes with Sunday. Why pronounce it wrong?
ОтветитьI've recently test driven one with the wife. I own a Tesla and this was almost as nice. Almost.
ОтветитьI found a Hyundai dealer that isn't marking up the price!
ОтветитьI'm driving a Hyundai and I have my sights on this car for my next one.
ОтветитьI see one of these in a local village regularly, it looks the dogs bollocks.
ОтветитьI think we are going to replace our Tesla Model 3 dual motor with the Hyandai.
ОтветитьComplaining at petrol being £1.48 a litre? Welcome to July 2022. Most places are a fraction under £2.00, and motorway services over two pounds.
ОтветитьCant wait to see more of the Ioniq 6...Really nice looking..
ОтветитьI bought my first Hyundai (an i30N) 18 months ago, after years of German stuff, and apart from loving the way the car drives, the big difference between this, and the German stuff I've owned previously is that the Hyundai has just been painlessly, unfailingly reliable. None of the silly, niggling faults that BMWs and Audis seem to consistently suffer with. Everything works, every day. It goes in for a service, you pay the agreed price (between 40 and 50% cheaper than BMW's), it comes out again, and runs reliably to the next one. Nice long warranty to fall back on if needed as well. This, or the upcoming 6 will undoubtedly be my first EV.
ОтветитьI wasn’t a fans when I saw it the first time on the road, but it grows on me, now I want it lol
ОтветитьIf you look under the car closely this car is rusty very quickly very cheap steel parts un aluminum no protection and battery conception cheap no this car is not the best Tesla is very better
ОтветитьFrom some angles it looks like an Austin Allegro
ОтветитьFabulous car. Shame the UK charging infrastructure is pants.
ОтветитьIoniq 5 is fantastic and they are unveiling Ioniq 6 now. It just makes me wonder how the chess pieces will be placed. So far it seems like they are playing to win (over).
ОтветитьI'm sure it is lovely in the handful of US states where you can buy it. Just don't leave ... there's no dealers who can work on it. Maybe the support is better in other regions (Europe, for example).
Might be a great car in theory, but the broad support for it just isn't there yet.
Made with inclusion of slave labor from Congo. Charging is done with fossil fuels. Range is 1/2 of average ICE car. Cannot charge at home, unless $2K is paid. Price is $50k. What's not to like?
Ответитьhow comfortibily these corporate cons, fraudily used the term "BEST".
ОтветитьThanks for the review! A few thoughts from an EV owner of, now, 15 months. Charging issues are mostly about a basic reshuffling of our time - but only if you can charge at home. If you have to rely on outside sources regularly, it's a major pain. But in many places, the networks are already building out, and planning trips is not an issue. When assessing running costs, 1000 miles is simply not a relevant milestone because they consist of more than "fuel" (not to mention the ownership experience that includes updates and support). For ICE cars, particularly as the miles pile on, even if nothing goes wrong, there are several fluid changes - lubricants and coolants - along the way, and, far more than EVs with good re-gen, brakes will need attention much more often.
Even further down the road when an ICE rig needs, say, a motor or transmission, the parity with batteries will flip the other way - and that is inevitable. From the data coming back, too, motors may never become any kind of even minor issue, as they are execeptionally reliable.
Lastly, battery and charging tech is rapidly changing. Ten-minute, 80% charges are already nearing production, as are batteries with much higher energy densities, safer materials, and much lower costs. All is to say, the Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, the Model 3/Y are already pretty incredible, but this is just the beginning, and massive improvement will be the way over the next few years. And, though only a part of the equation, don't think petrol prices will every drop to levels again where they will ever make sense.
Well its not the best EV in the world, but I do understand that you need a sensational headline to have people watch your content, else they wouldnt.
ОтветитьKind of ironic that the two most desirable evs on sale today are from budget brands. They are the Hyundai ioniq 5 and the Fiat 500e.
ОтветитьM,G.E,V, longer range ,Cheaper .more Trunk room, much cheaper, better value, , it’s O.K. But not the best ,!
