We tracked an AirTag around the world!

Airtags have a range of 800 feet from your paired iphone. How is this possibly working?

This is very dangerous.

It’s apparent Apple doesn’t want you to read the literature that comes with the tag given the small light grey font. Is that data available online. Thank you.

I left my AirTag at home and my iPad didn’t ping any signal. Does anybody know if this only works with iPhones??

I was a little disappointed recently in a Rome. Mine was in my suitcase that was left with a porter to be loaded on a cruise ship. The bag was delayed being delivered to our room so I tried to track. It was still showing on the dock when the ship sailed. I was freaking out but in reality it was on the ship because it was delivered 15 minutes later! 🥹

I would like to ask a question. I put an airtag on my girlfriend's bag, and she is going to China, but in the last place, I checked the airtag and was in Germany. Why is that ?

My daughter & her boyfriend are going to vacation / road trip in Alaska. They have both agreed to put an air tag in their wallets so I know that they don’t veer off schedule anywhere. Thank you for this video!

Nice. Mine doesn't work if I leave it any more than 50 meters. (precision finding work up to 9 meters, tracking is off by more than 300 meters)

Very cool. I am trying to track a missing luggage and the air line is telling me conflicting info. We see it one location, the airline says a different location in a different city.

So just so I understand, you can track these things anywhere you want as long as it's in the vicinity of a compatible apple device in order for its location to be pinged and updated??

Which technology does it use to connect to GPS satellite? Internet?

LA to Australia... that's one flight. Not that impressive. I put one in the back of a car i shipped cross country, Oregon to Massachusetts. Was able to follow it the entire way across the country getting an update probably about every 50 miles or even less. Try shipping one to the middle of Africa or to Nepal and see what results you get.

When the AirTag is detected by a ID device, the location given, is that the IT device or the AirTag? How close does the tag have to be to a device to be detected?

How do you charge it ? And how many can I register to my iPhone ?

What I don’t like is it notifies the would be thief the item he stole has an AirTag in it. So I’m looking for something similar

How dose the tag know were it actually is as there is no GPS receiver in it. So at best as it Bluetooth it needs to link to other phone users. And the phone user has to have Internet access. To show we're it was picked up. So there of no use.

I'm about to buy a motorcycle and definitely going to buy a couple of them to hide on the bike. I will rip out the speakers and people mention about thieves getting alerts that they are being tracked. I highly doubt the thief will be able to afford an iphone. There are more droid users in this world.

do you have to ping the airtag everytime you want an update when you sent it overseas or it just gives the location whenever you open the app??
