ОтветитьHe was my sisters favourite singer. She passedon December 15 and this was played at her funeral on Wednesday 10 of January. ❤
ОтветитьThere will never be another performer like this man ever again, so beautiful.
ОтветитьLa perfection. Le paradis.
ОтветитьWow
ОтветитьI miss the old songs that had a prelude before songs started. Reminds me of my mom & dad dancing in our living room when we were kids 😢❤
ОтветитьI'm a huuuge fan of Nat King Cole...I want to use this song very much, but I can't seem to find out if this song is public domain or not. If you can let me know, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks, and Happy New Year! :-)
ОтветитьThis song is written by Hoagie Carmichael.
ОтветитьNat King Cole was a very gifted singer he had the most beautiful voice that I’ve ever heard and I love that song, neither of my parents were born in 1927 when that song was written but it still reminds me of yesteryears when I was young I’m 70 now.
ОтветитьThere are no words to describe this song and singer. I just can’t find them. Probably the greatest ever.
ОтветитьThis is what I would've called "cheesy", "silly", or "too Pop" when I was young. Now I think it's one of the greatest eras of songwriting & recording in history.
ОтветитьPerfection.
ОтветитьMy goodness 😪🤍
ОтветитьI just found this song. Among everything else today, with all the autotune and the editing, this song slaps. This is beautiful. Damn.
ОтветитьThis sounds like waking up in heaven
ОтветитьPhenomenal arrangement and phenomenal singing. Perfection.
ОтветитьGreat Song! Jesus Loves You My Dear Friends! God Bless You Always! John 3:16
ОтветитьThis is just so beautiful.. Such great engineers at Capitol, who preserved this man's gorgeous legacy.
ОтветитьNat was a 'natural'. This is a kind of difficult song to sing, too. But he seems to do it with ease. "Dance, Ballerina, Dance" is another good example of a somewhat difficult song to sing and if you're not careful, you learn the hard way. Yet his presentation of it is completely 'World Stage'. Rosemary Clooney would sometimes yield to him on some of those special qualities. -Admit it in conversations. She's great in her own right, too. I think that both she and Nat were "kindred spirits" in the last century and they both just didn't know it. I don't know. I'm not completely sure about things. Maybe it's because it was the 50's, and a certain 'marketable approach' was sought after. May-be, there was just more emulating going on than I thought. May-be someday, I'll find out.
Happy Listening, Everybody :)
Hoagy Carmichael...who was that guy?

The most romantic song ever ❤
ОтветитьGrandma used to sing this song to me.
She told a story about the war. She was probably 14. An american soldier courted her and would sing this song to her until she knew it by heart. She never dated the guy but the song remained.
She never knew it was an actual pop song of her time until I played it to her.
It’s a love song—- and now she is my Stardust in the heavens..
The man with the velvet voice awesome
Ответитьexcellence
ОтветитьThis song was playing when the only woman I loved for 4 years told me to leave her alone and fuck off. It came unexpectedly. I was crushed. It’s now been almost 2 years and I’m still not over her. I will never let myself love again. The pain is just too much to handle.
