How to map your Google Sites to a custom Domain URL

UPDATE: It is now possible to map a secondary domain! In order to do this, make sure the site was published by a user in your secondary domain (@yoursecondarydomain.com) and when selecting the domain in the admin console you can now select the secondary domain. Update your DNS records, and you are good to go!

why not just buy a domain and then set up a redirect to your google site? Don't need a gsuite account for that.
