Great videos. Can an ohms OL on a Solenoid cause the 3amp fuse in the AH to keep failing? Can’t get Low Voltage on Contactor, changed contractor, same issue.

thank you so much The HVAC guy put a new honeywell t4 pro thermostat on my heatpump /ac / heat unit last winter and never hooked up the wires to the outside unit. When i called him and told him this he just laughed at me .I have been trying for a week to hook up the outside heat pump . I wired the outside unit to the furnace board and finally The outside unit fired up. But the reversing valve was only going to heat mode even after setting the O/B at the thermostat. After doing the defrost board bypass that you showed in your video WOW COLD AIR in seconds. I cannot thank you enough for your help. I wait for service from the local HVAC guy for weeks before He shows up. Last winter I had to heat my bedroom for days with a electric heater till he finally showed up. Thanks From the bottom of my heart for your video Ken J

You just cut half the words in the unit when all you had to do was run the "Y" wire directly to the contactor. Land the fan wire on the L1 terminal of contactor. Then you could have placed a common wire on the opposite side of the contactor and boom when the contactor pulls in you have air conditioning now you have to unspice all those wires and fix it all back ridiculous amateur status.

Why would a defrost board fail?

Great tutorial my Board went out. It's on backorder and it's been 102° here. This worked great and the temp is dropping as I type. Thank you!!

Hi how are you can you make a video .showing how to bypass the condensor fan relay on board for defrost and add and external relay to allow cooling and heat I've replaced this carrier board 3 times in a year and a half .just put a new board and new condensor fan motor just in case old fan motor was pulling to high of laps causing the relay to fail . However the board failed a week later anyway I've had the whole system checked over and voltage tested they found no issues but the board keeps failing the last unit I had the man installed a external relay for the fan which worked perfect until I had to get a new unit due to outdated freon thanks and I hope you can help

Could I just jump yellow and orange and leave common alone? Shouldn't common still be present no matter what?

Thank you for your time. Question: my AC/Heat Pump is freezing up around the indoor unit coil. No AC at all. Thermostat and inside fan are working, filter and A-frame are clean, drain plug is NOT clogged. Outside fan and compressor are working too. I haven't measure capacitance, but assume dual capacitor is good since compressor and fan both run. I haven't check for low refrigerant yet (R-410A). What could possibly be the problem? Would the defrost control board have anything to do here (it's spring time and only inside is freezing). Thank you much in advance!

Just jump y and o and forget all that. Come back the next day with a new board.

Why get a common from the board if your bypassing the other wires? Shouldn't you get common from the tstat wires?

Shouldn't you connect to the valve end of the orange wires not the board end? I tried this and burned up my transformer not sure what I did wrong.
