I've had my '05 for 11 years. Not letting it go.
ОтветитьMazda perfected the British sports car and Honda said hold my beer.
ОтветитьI remember the "experts" on reddit saying these cars will never be collectible...geniuses.
ОтветитьDo a video on the lexus sc300
ОтветитьI’ve had 3 and I can’t imagine ever selling this one. I’ve never heard anyone who doesn’t like them except a few motoring journalists criticising the lack of bottom end grunt. Un breakable machines which get a really surprising amount of attention.
ОтветитьJust bought an 05 AP2 a month ago. Low miles and stock great condition. Love it!!
ОтветитьDamn thats a perfect sample... however whoever replaced those rear tires is an idiot... the aftermarket tire put on is too narrow... should have been a 255mm rear tire to equal the original 225 Potenza S02
ОтветитьOriginal Owner here... sitting in my garage under a cover is an '01 Silverstone, with red seats....30K miles... never touched rain.... its in better than showroom condition
Ответитьthe good old Honda
ОтветитьAlso rare to find one that hasn't been messed with my tuner boyz.
ОтветитьI'm on my 3rd NA Miata and I'm heavily considering to sell and get myself an s2k butttt na Miatas have been sky rocketing too and I can't have both so I'm in a predicament. I love everything about the s2k though and I'd love to just rip it trough canyons, city
ОтветитьI bought my S2000 five years ago with 33k miles. Now has 108k. And would def not sell it for $20k.
ОтветитьThe best sport roadster ever made 🙌
ОтветитьGreat content
Ответить6 speed box but you only use 2 of them?
ОтветитьLooking to buy my first next week! AP1
ОтветитьFound one with a rebuilt title. 130,000 miles for 10k. Checking it out today
ОтветитьInsurance company video and this guy is in 9k rpm
ОтветитьBuyers guide - buy one
I want one so bad, im glad im from the uk
I know this will get some owners in a twist but there is only ONE TRUE s2000 and that is the F20c 9k redline. The s2000 monicker derives itself from the 2.O liter engine (not that it was released in year 2000), so s2200 would be what the 2.2 liter should be named. The F20c was named the Best Naturally Aspirated Engine of All Time in Car and Driver because it is an engineering marvel. The 2.2l is a diluted s2000.
ОтветитьI bought my S2000 new in 2002, Sebring Silver, and it is currently still sitting in my garage. It’s a California car, never driven in the rain, always garaged. It just turned over 8,000 miles. I know I’m crazy for not driving it more but I had too many toys and not enough time to drive it. The good thing is the car looks as good as the day I bought it, not a rock chip, door ding, nothing. As close to a new one as you can get. At this point I’m afraid to drive it as I don’t want it getting damaged. I just keep the oil changed and go for a drive once a month or so to keep it in good running condition. As much as I love the car as I get older it gets harder and harder to get in and out of it, lol. I will probably eventually sell it although I’m not looking forward to that whole process of figuring out what it’s worth, letting people test drive my car, etc.
ОтветитьLocal dealer has one with 6k miles, for $42k🥴
ОтветитьI could listen to Sam Smith do these Buyers Guide episodes all day. I remember (as I’m sure many here do) when this car first debuted in 99 as a 2000 year model , and was always impressed with the F20C and later F22C1 engine that Honda produced for the car. Producing the highest specific power output for any naturally aspirated piston engine in a car priced under US$100,000, this engine is still one of the highest output per liter and the highest revving mass production engines ever made.
ОтветитьI've driven a 2002 S2K for the past 11 years. No other car provides such pure driving stoke. I'm seriously having it buried with me just in case they don't stock them in heaven.
ОтветитьNicely done Sir. Like the back stories too. Thank You
ОтветитьStill a timeless beauty. Honda's S2000 aged really well. 👍
Ответитьwe had an S2000 in the body shop a few days ago with some front end damage. I hope I get the job. I want to test drive it when it's done. I had to move it the other day and it was hard to get in and out of. but when I got in it fit like a glove. we don't get many cool cars in. the last one was a red first gen BMW M3. awesome
Ответитьjust a question on AP1 vs AP2 handling.. I happen to have an AP1, but I'm driving with AP2 size wheels (215, 245). I haven't found the car loose at all, indeed it grips like crazy until it doesnt. I wouldn't mind LESS grip to be honest so it would be a bit more predictable.
I wonder do you think the wheels itself is enough to make this difference in driving feel?
I saw these in the early 2000's, but I went with the SRT4. I wanted something a little quicker.
ОтветитьWell nobody knew
That Honda will not make great engines again.
No matter what
I still can’t afford it.
Almost two years after this video, I'd like to say that the S2000 is still and "attainable" JDM legend.
ОтветитьThe Honda S2000 ROCKS man
ОтветитьProud owner of S2K here.
ОтветитьThis car is so amazing. It's great to drive. Looks amazing. Turns heads. Prices are still going up
ОтветитьSold my 07 in 2019, regretted it and bought an 06 with 23k miles for 30k!! But it's beyond clean and I'm just glad to be back in one.
ОтветитьI can say that my s2000 never ever let me down
ОтветитьI have my dads old one wondering if it’s worth fixing
ОтветитьWhat do Americans do with their engines?! Honda are famous for not replacing ANY Vtec engines under warranty conditions.
ОтветитьOh i thought the s2000 could rev up to 9000 rpm
ОтветитьI want one
ОтветитьPersonally, I want my outboard tires planted firmly. The car must get the inboard tires in the game. I've only been driving Honda hatchbacks since they were available. I like it. Rails, man.
ОтветитьI love my 2000 s2000. It’s legitimately the best car I’ve ever own.
ОтветитьRelease date 1999 and proceeding date. 1995? Lol
Ответить2005 best overall year for the s2000.
ОтветитьI had a black over red 2000 ap1.. I didn’t even realize at the time it was one of 5000 (and being a Honda, even a GREAT Honda, I’d say only 60% are left (that stuff rear suspension, he didn’t mention that every single year of production, it was made softer, people kept trading ends in corners (I did a few times).. trick was “don’t lift!” It was like a 911 in the regard. Other than that, it was probably the most fun car I’ve ever had and I had a lot of the 90s and 2000s greats.. ap1, ford lightning svt, mustang cobra, bmw e36 coupe, integra type r.. I should have kept EVERYTHING (and I’m leaving out a lot!)
ОтветитьSuch a cool high quality car. If Honda made a 5.7 size it would have 1000hp.
ОтветитьThe tires that the owner has on that car pretty much tells what that car does
