I was hoping to use it 9n the original bmpcc og WITH speedbooster.. darn
ОтветитьI found the lens i need, every other lense i have seen so far they all look like DLSR home videos, but the price, the SIRUI 50mm is cheaper but they don't have EF
ОтветитьYour short film looks stunning embedded in this. Wow.
ОтветитьI have this lens. It's amazing. The nitpicks are totally outweighed by what you are capable of doing with it. I actually think the squeeze imperfections add character. You don't shoot anamorphic for clean precise images anyway.
ОтветитьLet’s see how the Laowa Nanomorphs PL compare to this.
ОтветитьGreat review 👍
ОтветитьThe images from these lenses looks fantastic, but I can't get over the changing de-squeeze factor. That's not a small consideration for post when any shot less than 4 meters has to change the de-squeeze factor. If you ever want to be precise then you need to take intricate notes on set about your distance and then make sure your colorist follows them. Otherwise you can wing it. Except what if you subject goes from 8 meters to 1 meter? That actually happens a lot in movies, so I guess you'll be having to keyframe you de-squeeze. For the price, definitely cool to play with, but this is a serious consideration if anyone hopes to bring these lenses into a larger production.
ОтветитьGood job. Keeping it low key and practical.
ОтветитьHow do these lenses compare with the vazens?
ОтветитьGreat work Garret. I am thinking to get one... I am wondering how it's gonna work on my Lumix S5 in terms of having a proper aspect ratio... I think it's gonna be ok based on your review... am I right? Thanks in advance!
ОтветитьCasual short film better than many with funding and weeeks of planning
ОтветитьGreat review. Most of the people who review this lens missed the desqueeze factor issue. Venus laowa made ef mount anamorphic lens less than this price
ОтветитьThat distortion issue is a nonstarter. Like, people want the character and weirdness of an anamorphic. If you want a flawless image, don't get an anamorphic lens. Use a spherical one.
ОтветитьIf you look really closely, he's not making eye contact with us xD he keeps looking at his tele prompter or script that's Right side of us (or his Left). Such a pete peeve of mine but it is what it is
ОтветитьGreat review. Thx a lot 😊👍🏻
Ответитьreally very intrigued by this. i have SO many vintage projection scope / prime taking lens combos and the ease of a single lens solution (especially a SET!) is massively attractive. the sirui stuff just seems to clinical for me and nowhere near the squeeze factor i prefer. what i'm interested to know is what these great joy full frames are like with quite heavy diffusion filters on them (i tend to go for quite a heavily affected / abstract feel).
ОтветитьI liked when he took the image that looked like this and then scaled it to look like this
