Inconvenient question: "Why in the largest land mass country in the world, people
still live in khrushchevka? Build a 5,000sq ft home on a 3 acre parcel of land. Why
live in a glorified favela bunched up together?"

The emphasis in pronunciation of town name UFA is on the A not the U, you sound funny.

Муравейник - тюрьма. Удивительно, что людям вообще хочется жить в подобных местах, вся это псевдобезопасность ни от кого не защитит на самом деле.

Not much has changed much in 80 years of central planning. In Russia, I think it just works somehow. Even when it was the Soviet Union, the culture over there just has more respect. I would totally live there, there! In the USA, we called these types of homes the projects or ghettos. The Cabrini Green in Chicago come to mind.

Испанский стыд. Первый же магазин КБ. А холмик, это же свалка, полигон ТБО, наспех присыпано землёй

It appears quite appealing. As of today, 55,00000 rubles equate to 16.16 million rupees in Pakistan, which can secure you a 1,400 square-foot (130 square meters) apartment in Karachi, the country's largest city and business center.

Yep this is indeed quite average, slightly on the smaller side but with a bit more fluff on the building externals.

This is 100% not a typical Russian family apartment. Most live in Soviet era apartments.

The only HUGE problem in all of those new apartment buildings is a total lack of soundproofing. You think old soviet buildings were bad? Boy, do i have news for you- in these new ones you can hear a cat pissing 4 floors down.
