Lots a radical changes from the original and novel. Which might not be a bad thing.

So according to the logic of both fans and producers, a black pimp, a profession one has to actively pursue, is less offensive than a white guy who inherited his slaves and actually tried to treat them as people and not property. That makes no sense, i hope Anne was paid well for her integrity.

This is starting on the tv next week. as I'm a massive Anne Rice fan...this is going to be a feast for the eyes. Still don't think that you can beat Brad Pitt in the role of Louis though...but we shall see. Glad there's at least a second series to come...

The interpretation of her books is impeccable. The love story between the two men is beautiful and dangerous and pulling me in wanting more. I cannot wait for next season. The two main character’s chemistry is palpable. Look at how Lestat looks at Louie. Love and hunger and danger. All the magic of life.

I curious of this series but I’m a huge fan of the original. I feel like I would only compare it to the first one. Ah I’m conflicted. Lol😅

was not the old concept to take the top males on the "hot scale" and make a movie with them? why are the actors on this one so ugly? political correctness?

Thanks for making me rewatch the old movie and reading Anne Rice's books all over again....even the first 2 episodes were such a disgrace. Wouldn't recommend that series as a long time "Chronicle of the vampires" and Lestat fan....bah.

I’m not sure I want to watch this after this trailer. Anne was so meticulous about it when she was still in the process of creating this together with her son Christopher, and she also said she already knew which actors she wanted. This cannot be her vision. Lestat is so breathtakingly beautiful in the books, every book starts with a narcissistic monologue of his about how handsome and dashing he is - and Louis seems out of place too. They may make good vampires in general, but just like it also bothered me that Banderas had been cast as Armand in the film version of Interview - he was too old and didn’t fit the description in the books at all - the cast seems to be poorly chosen. I think I read somewhere that this was taken out of Anne’s and Christopher’s hands. Which would explain a lot. This series was meant to be better than the film and to cover all of the Vampire Series’s books … but to me it looks disappointing.

this show deserves ALL the Emmys writing, acting, music, cinematography, costumes, sets.. jst give them all of it and be done with it!!!!!!

Louis cannot be black. It's not possible based on who the character was in that era in that setting. Very unusual to see a black slaver in America at that time and it's an insult to those who lived as slaves.
