It's me again :P I'll be returning the A380 as Intel Support wasn't able to fix anything. I suspect the card is broken. I'm on a dual system, so one PC just for streaming/encoding. How do you feel a 2950X with two GPUs for encoding would work? Then I could maybe encode for the stream how I do now with the RTX 2060, and use the other card for the best quality encoding at the same time, which the RTX 2060 won't do now, it locks up OBS, and if I want to do 120 FPS clip saving, it also won't work. I was wondering about the RX 7600 (or maybe the RTX 4060, or maybe evne the A380 if I get a working one and it actually works), it's slightly more expensive) for the local high bit rate recording (QVP at 18 is what I've been using for local recordings at 60 FPS (had to set CBR for 120 FPS cause QVP is too slow at encoding). And swap around when AV1 becomes a thing on Twitch.
For a one PC system, two cards, one for gaming, one for encoding) isn't so good from what I gather, but for a dedicated stream PC, maybe?
"When using speed... the preset" 🤣
Ответить7900XTX best 4k recording settings - and steaming settings
ОтветитьIs buying i5 13500 and using their x264 encoder would be a better option than using the amd gpu encoder ?
ОтветитьNvidia is king for streaming
ОтветитьWhat I always find missing in the DaVinci Resolve tests is how it does with the AI features that use NVIDIA's Tensor cores. If AMD would at least offer decent brute-force performance there I might actually consider AMD for content creation to compliment my 3900X.
Ответитьfor rendering h264 / h265 -1080p rtx 2060 super or RX5700 xt?? which one is faster? filmora 9 / davinci
ОтветитьThis encoder will be able for RX6000 series?
Ответитьisnt the xtx a grip rn
ОтветитьWhat video player is recommended to play back AV1 video? I tried POT and VLC, but they are laggy.
ОтветитьI've got a 7900XT and I'd like to record games at 4k or 1440p and 120fps. Do you have recommended settings for that?
Ответитьthanks for the video . in france no one has yet posted on the radeon av1.
sorry for the google translation
does anyone have a setting to advise me to record in 1440p 60 with av1? cqp20 and cqp16 exhibit frame drop on 7900xt. I suspect that my settings are not good lol
ОтветитьAMD= Always More Disappointment
ОтветитьI gotta say that 3 way comparison footage AV1 didnt always look better on Nvidia compared to AMD even, some signs looked the more blurrier on Nvidia and then I could see some weird artifacts on things like the cannons on Nvidia.
ОтветитьThe rx6700xt decode av1? Cause h265 it's okay but av1 it's incredible
ОтветитьAnyone know how to get radeon relive? I had it on the radeon software and one day the update removed it? Ever since...I never found the time to get it back and just used OBS
ОтветитьThe thing that still stands out to me is that Intel is king in encoding. ARC's H.264 quality surpasses all other GPU HW implementations, and QSV is just the best out there in the IGPU space. The real question is, can you just slap an ARC A380 in a system with a higher spec Nvidia or AMD GPU and use it as a pure encoding accelerator for streaming. Depending on where you look these cards can go for like $110-$139. If you have a standard ATX motherboard you can almost certainly fit it in your build and for a cheap price remove all the streaming load off your main GPU. Basically the best of a dual PC setup in one.
Ответитьcan u do an updated version of the video u made a couple months ago about streaming h264 but for amd h265 ?
ОтветитьIs it just me or AMD encoder is better for rx 6000 series? Because 5 months ago i stream and it have blocky noise etc, now I can barely see it.
ОтветитьFinally got to watch this! A bit disappointed that 4k60 is not possible on High preset, but I suppose if the quality of Speed encoding is still good, it's okay? I am excited for testing of quality of all the presets and all the good stuff coming up now that you have your card at home! Thanks a lot for your effort in making these
ОтветитьI've 5900x with a 7900xt, and when I stream, I've a massive frame drop. Have to cap frames to 165 from 240 at 1440p or 1080p is the same. Using the x264 or AMD x264. Any thoughts?
Edited: I turned off freesync in adrenaline software and resolved the problem
Why are your vmaf figures here show a much larger gap between AMF and NVENC than your previous video that you referenced in this video? In the previous video, you stated that there was around 8-10% difference in VMAF scores but it seems much higher in this instance. Is it related to the particular footage that you used?
Ответитьcome on man buy a dog
ОтветитьPerfect. Open source drivers for longevity, and now they finally have encoding I can hopefully one day use for Plex.
Ответить@eposroks QUESTION! 5600x and 6600xt. Gaming on mw2 i get 100+fps , streaming it on OBS i get like 30fps at 1080p. I. Hard stuck trying to fix this
ОтветитьThe new dual media engine brings 8K60 AV1 encode/decode, simultaneous encode/decode for AVC/HEVC, AI-enhanced video encode, and a 1.8x engine frequency increase, which leads to up to 7x faster 8K transcoding with AV1 encode.
ОтветитьYou mentioning 4:4:4 being supported, but i can't seem to make it work. OBS always gives me 4:2:0, regardless of what i set in the advanced tab of OBS (29. Beta3). Same with AMD Relive. The 7900XT might support it, but aisde from your video, there is virtually no mention of 4:4:4 support. I couldn't test ffmpeg directly because it seems all builds you can get right now don't have the newest AMF Version for AV1 support.
Can you maybe give me a hint, as to how to use 4:4:4?
When will h265 streaming support come to 6000 series? I have a 6700xt but I am considering selling it because there is no information about this condition.
ОтветитьI've been fishing for answers forever. I own a 6900XT with 10900k. I was dual streaming to my 2080 super laptop nvenc, but I think QSV is better quality at 8000 CBR? I wish I could just figure out the best option without purchasing an AV1 encoder. The data changes too much. NVENC P6 looks great at 8000 kbps but if QSV is better according to Netflix testing, I should probably use QSV right?
ОтветитьWill AV1 encoding be available for the 6000 series?
ОтветитьI think that problem you had with the 7900 XT's dual media engine might be a driver bug.
ОтветитьAMD iGPU Driver need to UPDATE!
Ответитьthank you for your video? im not 100% sure i understood though. so in other words, with a sufficient rest of pc setup of course, would a 7900 card be good enough to game in 1440p and conveniently stream-encode ONE (not 6 :D) session, finally?
ОтветитьHey really appreciate all the work you do! :) Will you be reviewing how the 7900 XTX does in AV1 when DaVinci Resolve supports it and against the XT? I'm really curious how much of a difference between the two. I can't justify getting the 4090 so interested in 7900 XTX to be a better value option.
Ответитьwhat bit rate did you record with amd AV1 codec probably low
ОтветитьI doubt it…I’ll keep my dusty rusty but reliable 3080ti
ОтветитьNobody is eating your hair,
Or hurting your family,
Must be nice to be completely human.
Do you think with the driver bugs that have been found so far that maybe some of the poorer content creation performance could possibly be related?
ОтветитьWhile AV1 sounds nice on paper, it would have been really nice to see AMD to go somewhat even in the x264 department since this is the coded all the livestreaming services are still using...
ОтветитьQuestion, can you confirm if AV1 hardware encode with these GPUs will become available on Handbrake?
ОтветитьMy question is very simple. Ex: Twitch streaming H.264 1080p 6k bits sample: Does the new Radeon 7000 series not blur anymore like the 6000 series? Or they still do but a bit better? Are they on par with Nvenc? Ok those were 3 questions.
Ответитьthanks @eposvox
ОтветитьWhat the hell are you even doing? I got my XTX yesterday and it records perfectly fine in H.264 265 and AV1 @ 4K 60 with zero lag or stutters and this was at 60,000Kbps CBR.
The codec was barely even loaded, AV1 had it pegged at around the 65% range and H.264 and 5 had it pegged at only 40%.
The video quality is much much better than on my 3080Ti which lagged hard at the same video quality settings.
You must have been doing something seriously wrong here.
