I’m trying to write a sad love song about falling in love with a celebrity. I’m inspired by TV by Billie Eilish, circles by lizzy mcalpine. I wrote lyrics for it but once I read it the next day, I really didn’t like it so another tip is to read your lyrics again to make sure you don’t change your mind!

I know everyone’s mention Taylor Swift but check out lovejoy’s lyrics there super unique and can be interpreted in many ways it’s like there too qualities of there songs

But how do we start

I'm old now. I recorded two songs I wrote a long time ago and just uploaded them. Just 2 songs. I'd love to just get any feedback. Please don't troll me, and I know i'm not a great singer. Just poking around songwriting channels in hopes of constructive critiques.lyric changes/i can commission an actually good singer and a guitarist to actually play the two songs well. Lyrics are in the description area of the two videos. I'm not trying to get views, I have maybe 9 subscribers that are random people or bots. i don't know.

I wrote songs since I was little

My song: sometimes I feel like I've lost my brain. Sometimes I feel like a stupid little girl. Sometimes I want to be more than what I am. Stupid little girl? That's not enough! So one day I felt in distress, tired, angry and sad. didn't know what to do, come and save me! So I went to school like a normal day, with a fake smile on my face. I am ready... I went to class, English..? Oh my favourite! So I checked the shelves and picked out a book. It was quite small, mini in fact! I sat back down on my small wooden chair. I opened the first page and boom! All the words hit me! The book was called an OMSD. Short for an Oxford Mini School Dictionary. An OMSD, an OMSD, an OMSD? A flipping OMSD!! An Oxford Mini School Dictionary! Felt a boost of excitement, a shiver down my spine. I had all of the world's words right in front of me. I jumped on the table, and screamed... Oxford Mini School Dictionary! Dictionary! Oxford Mini School Dictionary! Dictionary! So many words Infront of me! Infront of me! Oxford Mini School Dictionary! Dictionary! Next day I get outta bed, I get on my phone. Just an average day, right? NO.... I just discovered a thing called a dictionary, an OMSD, an Oxford Mini School Dictionary! Dictionary! I bought 1000s of these mini things! These mini things! 1000s of Oxford Mini School Dictionaries! Dictionaries! I was so flipping happy, just so happy. I just read 1000s of these mini things! Oxford Mini School Dictionaries! Dictionaries! I just spent all of my money, my money! So much to learn inside these mini things!

I don’t know where to start 😭

1. Gonna look up some Lyrics I like and dislike and look for similarities or just whatever I notice.

2. using a song's lyrics as a template sounds good to me.

I've always loved writing music, and one day i would really love to release songs of my own! the problem is I'm a teenage girl and i'm involved with popular groups/people so if i release a song i would not hear the end of it and they will have a lot to say. my family have always told me to ignore them and just go for it as not everyone will always have something nice to say/like you but you should never let them stop you which i agree with but the thought of it still scared me. does anyone have any tips that could help me?💗

I know this is a year old lol but something that helps me sometimes when I'm feeling stuck is looking back on old songs I've written and changing the lyrics to make them better. If you have a song with a good melody but you aren't proud of the lyrics, that doesn't mean throw the whole song away!

people keep mentioning ts albums and though i love her, i gotta accept her writing is quite basic (sorry) and yes, i’ve listened to folkmore, i just still think it’s not deep enough tbh. if u want to actually write deep lyrics and songs, listen to lana, mazzy star and madonna’s “ray of light” is magnetic.

also, if you start out writing poems, it’ll automatically make you a better songwriter. you have to get the hang of writing, in general. poets are great songwriters overall because they have a way with words.
