34 i could see him putting his hand on the barrier
ОтветитьThe radio reactions of each of the drivers is something to hear aswell. Shows that even though they're fierce rivals on the track. These men are friends and will always have each other's backs
ОтветитьThey need safer barriers
ОтветитьThe Halo made no difference.
ОтветитьWhen I think of safety- the only three names that come to mind are FIA, NTSB and Volvo.

ОтветитьHow did his internal organs not liquefy themselves against his ribcage?!
ОтветитьThe 5 second extraction was raised to 7 due to the added halo
ОтветитьSi no fuera por el halo terminaría decapitado en esas barreras
ОтветитьReally unusual (and rotten) way to end his; to date final race in F1. And he's racing very well in IndyCar
ОтветитьA meeting with the prophet of truth.
ОтветитьTom Pryce would have Survive In a Modern-day F1 Car.
ОтветитьHow did the car vroke in a half
Ответить... FACT: "THE RESCUE SERVICES" WERE LATE.
... FACT: "RESCUE SERVICES" WERE NOT ENOUGH.
FACT: "RESCUE SERVICES" PERFORMANCE WAS VERY LOW.

ОтветитьWell done medical staff and all those who make the whole experience safer. STANDARDS!!
ОтветитьIs it me or that part of the track has unnecessary barrier going towards the track
ОтветитьFIA can pat itself on the back, for the most part rightfully so, that the current SOTA for safety worked so well. But if tracks don't have full blown firefighting apparatus, with specially trained firecrews equipped with similar Nomex/Fearnaught clothing, foam in the tanks, and battery powered extraction tools on hand to respond instantly, as the medical crew did, they're still adding an unacceptable risk of fatal delay in the event of a fire. NASCAR tracks have such teams. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 610, Guide for Emergency and Safety Operations at Motorsports Venues (2009 ed.), is a set of standards for such teams. FIA should be making it a requirement of every racing venue to have such capabilities to certify them for race use.
The marshals couldn't reach Grosjean. If he hadn't been able to extract himself ...
Again, yes, the current SOTA has gone a long way to increase driver survivability in a slew of incidents. But safety is a moving target, and they need to work on better "Worst case" response protocols.
I was there and I actually yelled out OUCH when he hit the barrier.
ОтветитьHalo saved that man’s life. And many other improvements as well that the safety team added.
ОтветитьThe photo of his helmet after was insane
ОтветитьThis crash was terrifying to watch.
The positives:
a triumph in that he survived
a win for the suits
a win for the monocoque
the marshals
the medical car and people
The balances:
Thank anything you believe in that this happened on Lap 1 with the medical car right there.
The negatives:
I can think of so many but they are all mitigated by reg/safety changes.
It was a freak accident. Unfortunately it happens.
If only the halo could have saved Senna💔
ОтветитьHats off to all. I do wish there was a fire truck or something so the fire could have been put out more quickly. Is there any in-car extinguishing kind of device?
ОтветитьGuy just survived inside a fireball and the reporter has a mask on.....🤦🏼♂️
ОтветитьIf there's an F1 museum every bit of wreckage, plus Grosjean's suit, needs to be on display. People need to see just how astonishing this whole thing was.
ОтветитьAm I the only one that see those guys that went to help him walk very slow as nothing happened
ОтветитьNeed to adopt safer walls like the Americans did at their Speedways. Put those walls in front of the armco’s.
ОтветитьThey need to do the same with the gloves they did with the suits. Also should use safer barrier on all armco barriers and hard walls. Just about all pro series in the states use it. It works.
