"Paying to free up your time" is something I learned as I entered my thirties. It made it SO much easier to decide what was and wasn't worth my time to do, as well as what I actually enjoyed doing.

The part about not being stuck in your ways is important but becomes a lot more challenging after 40. It's one thing to be adaptive but in terms of habits, you change slowly with massive effort. I was thankfully told this at 30.

Being born with money isn't the only way to attain it, sure. But it's by far the easiest and most prevalent way people do. Money and connections lead to more money and opportunities. Discounting the effect of generational wealth is disingenuous.
