You have inspired me so much. I am a girl in middle school, I followed you halfway through 6th grade and you have gotten me to the beginning of 8th grade. You are my favorite content creator! You are! But I understand what you mean. I hope that you realize either now or at some point along the way that probably a combination of your life experience and being a coparent has made you put an incredible amount of intention in being a very full and present mother at all times, even when she may not physically be present with you. That is a gift that so many children of “typical intact” families have no understanding of what that is. I know I’ve been there, as well as other friends of mine who focused on staying together and ignoring the fact that our children were watching an unhealthy relationship. It is damaging them in addition to the fact that it’s also distracting from the ability to be incredibly as present as you are. I am still married and have fought through a lot of those trials with now grown (almost!) children.

Similarly, I was a young mama, and I too, became addicted to opiates, right smack in the middle of my career and the height of motherhood. That entire experience of the addiction and rehabilitation process made me so much more aware of what is important… and I changed so much as a person. This was by intentionally and also unconsciously doing so because I put my priorities in place as they should be, which caused me to be an extremely present mother, who was very much in your shoes, except for the fact that I was fortunate enough to have them live with me at all times AND because my husband was incredibly gracious to walk me and hold my hand through the sobriety process. I now have a bunch of other things that are related to chronic pain and disease (which started the whole addiction and dependency by the hands of my doctor in the first place), but I would rather deal with those things and have the focus that I do now as opposed to what my priorities and life was like over 10 years ago. May 2025 will hit my 10 years of sobriety with not one relapse, and for that, I am forever grateful! Now, if I can only find my hot mom self back then I will be complete 😊

I think you look your best when you just wake up n still have messy hair! Just natural and you have a beautiful family! I've been sober for 3 years now and I actually got a car and job and apartment as soon as I got clean .. it's like everyone couldn't wait to help me out, I have two little boys and now a much bigger apartment and great job and I take great care of them as I'm told but I feel like I have a lot of making up to do.. do you feel like that? I sometimes wonder if it's just me.. depression still gets me some days and I have a lot of anxiety and PTSD from being with their father, I started studying for my GED and then give up and then start up again it's like I can't focus.. I just want a better job to better support them so we never have to struggle a day again!! But I hope you and your family the best and we will keep watching your wholesome videos!!
