Another great instructional video. Thanks
ОтветитьVERY informative and well presented. Answered a lot of questions. And, confirmed I did know some things. Thank you.
ОтветитьAwesome simple beginners guide.
Many thanks. Can’t wait to give it another go.
Incredibly helpful! Love the way you educate 👌
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьIt's late, and I feel sleepy, but your video is so interesting that it kept me listening. And no loud background music to annoye me, Very well done on production bravo.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьGreat info! Thanks!!!
ОтветитьWith ISO 1600 and 13 sec and 1.8 aperture, the image is becoming very bright, not getting contrast.
ОтветитьCompelling presentation. I will reference this site as all my future astrophotography.
ОтветитьOutstanding presentation! I do most of my photography with a smartphone. And I know it's possible to get pretty good results with them, but I might look for the "starry landscape stacker" you mentioned.
Ответить😂😂😂😂 ....the intro😅
ОтветитьSuperb video, Spencer. Thank you.
ОтветитьWhat a fantastic video on astrophotography! So excellent explained!
Ответитьfully lost me when you say in the into you thought they blended multiple images to create the final result and that you were wrong but go on and say you will show an image blending method to achieve these results. so techniquewise exactly what you describe as how you thought it was done .. what a trip.
ОтветитьThanks to your advice, I was able to take my very first milky way shot ❤
ОтветитьPlease publish your lecture as a booklet with pictures.
ОтветитьGreat vid. Great explanations and guidance. Thank you, very much. New subscriber.
ОтветитьSuch an amazingly made video, interesting and well put together. Keep up the good work!
ОтветитьThis is a great video. Well organized concise information perfectly explained in an understandable way with great resources included.
ОтветитьFirst time watcher, seriously impressed by your skills man. Subbing
ОтветитьGreat video and very informative. The one question I do have is how to really find the Milky Way. I know you explained it but I’ve never seen anything like the pictures I see of the Milky Way. I see stars and stuff and don’t live by a big city for too much light pollution but I’m still not fully understanding how to find the Milky Way to photograph. I live in Michigan, which while it doesn’t have that much blue it seems like a pretty decent spot for astrophotography. Can you please explain or is there not much too it and I’ll just find if I get out there in the field. Thanks so much, I appreciate it
ОтветитьYou covered so many topics so many other MW tutorials have not. Very detailed with great examples. Trade off for shutter and IQ and noise vs f stop examples made “aha moments” for me. While this was not for beginner photographers, it was for beginner MW photogs.
ОтветитьI personally use a laser pointer, to get my camera's focus close to perfect, but I'll always magnify a bright star for fine tuning the focus. Great vid though, I've just taken up photography again, after many years, and got some good hints here.
ОтветитьGaffers tape leaves zero residue on your lens . Works perfectly
Ответитьdid you ever see one? .....
ОтветитьThis video is very helpful for me as a beginner. I am going to try to take my first few photos of the Milky Way in just a few weeks! I am excited and now I feel more confident! Please wish me luck on this first journey!
ОтветитьWaffle, waffle, waffle!
ОтветитьThis is an extraordinary explanation. Thank you!
ОтветитьWhat an AWESOME presentation!! You are a natural educator. One of the best and most comprehensive overviews in such a simple and elegant format. Thank you very much!!
ОтветитьThank you Spencer
Wow, taught myself everything I know about astro and still know nothing ..........:)

Good man, thanks for the very useful information. Greetings from the UK. May God protect you.
ОтветитьNo moon Milky way photography best. But moon lighting 70% moon not horizon rise.. this time possible milkeyway photography,, 😔🤔
ОтветитьSo I've been doing this for years. I try to visit a new IDS site in the US every summer. One thing I've noticed about all the Milky Way shots I've ever seen is that nobody (aside from me) masks and edits the central core separately to bring up some detail and to bring down the values to match the surrounding area. Every shot I've ever seen the core is blown out - bleached out - no detail. Much too bright. You also don't seem to attend to this issue.
ОтветитьSimple, to the point and easy to understand course for beginners. thanks a lot for this video.👍👍👍
ОтветитьBravo! Most other MW videos left me with more questions than answers. This is by far the best, most concise, and easiest-to-follow tutorial I've come across. Thank you for taking the time and effort.
ОтветитьDude, best channel ever! I wish u created this channel ten years ago! While I was interested. Now, DSLR is collecting dust in my closet
ОтветитьThis video is a treasure. And the dry humor throughout. You've got a new subscriber!
ОтветитьThank you for a well explained and easily comprehensible tutorial. I would like to ask you about the noise reduction which is crucial in night photography. Is Noise reduction put ON more effective than taking care of it in post production ? I am using Nikon NX D. If not so, than better putting it OFF to save time and battery life.
ОтветитьThere is a chance to obtain a photo blending the layer of the foreground and the sky without “moving” the sky as I saw in many other videos?
ОтветитьThe most informative and easily understood milky way photography video that I have found. Thank you for taking the time and effort to produce this excellent overview. As soon as the rain stops I'll be putting some of your recommendations into play.
Ответить👽
ОтветитьThis video was extremely useful to find camera setting for shooting the stars!
ОтветитьHello, I'm just starting to get into more astrophotography but dont think I have a great lens for this type of photography. Any recommendations for good lenses that are not extreamly expensive?
(I have a Nikon D5300)
Fantastic! I'll be looking out for more videos on Astro-landscape.
ОтветитьDo you actually offer a course on Astrophotography? I would like to take a more in-depth course from you on this topic!
