I’m seeing a lot of comments about the outfit and makeup. I just want to give a little background info to some people, as I’ve been a competitive dancer from a very young age. The makeup is used to highlight her face, as stage lights make it hard for the judges to see your face. Although I think they overdid it with the fake eyelashes. At that young of an age, light mascara would be better for the dancer. I didn’t wear fake lashes until I was about ten, and they weren’t even that long. As for the outfit, I agree that it’s pretty skimpy for a five year old. However, in this type of dance style, this type of clothing would be easier and more comfortable to dance in. I don’t think they should have given her a two piece though. Unfortunately, this style of clothing is quite overused I wore many simple things when I was younger, and not noticing what was wrong about it until I was older. Also another thing I want to mention, a lot of times studios choose costumes for the dancer, not parents. When I was six, I had to wear a similar costume. My mom was very upset, but since it was a group routine, it would look strange if I was wearing a different costume. Although, for solos like this, they are more flexible. Many studios are different, so I can’t say for all. I hope this helped in anyway.

In a talent competition you dress up based on what you are portraying. You portray what you think is the winning piece. Your selection shall be based on what you can do where your goal is to win. You don't expect a kid performer to win by performing Broadway "Annie" or "Swan Lake" not fit for her talent, while everyone else her age are performing Lady Gaga. You don't expect a kid to dress up in gown while performing Milk Inc's "Maniac", that's not how it works in a talent competition. In showbiz and entertainment you must follow the trend or you'll earn nothing. Besides, this little girl was dressed in the same manner as kiddie gymnasts so what's wrong with that? Pedophilia is only in the mind of perverts, I'm sure judges aren't perverts. Now let me ask you this question: Do you really think that 5 Million people who watched this video and 20k likes are perverts? I don't think so! This video has million views because little girl has amazing dancing skills!
