Man, thanks for laying the ground work and sharing your experience to save others time and money.
ОтветитьHow about the contractor state license board ? Law and business exam ?
ОтветитьThank you - missed it by one point today. Should have watched your video first. You make me feel like I'm not the only one.
ОтветитьI am in Georgia which uses NASCLA test and business law. You mentioned the link to test preps and wanted to ask which one you thought was most helpful to you.
Thanks, ans great video explanation.
Look forward to watching more of your videos.
Bob
At pearsonvue if you walk in that those tabs and marked book guess what thanks for the 200 donation buy all 3 books again and come afain
ОтветитьYou learn your score if you fail the test
ОтветитьOutside of Denver Colorado is great for getting your journeyman lol
ОтветитьI live in Jefferson County, Colorado and am currently studying for the G29 Master Mechanical test. I am studying IMC and IFGC books, study materials like a study guide and flash cards plus I am taking a four-day (24 hours of classroom time) ICC Code class in July. I hear it is about finding the answers fast and not necessarily memorizing everything, but I am studying already. I am an HVAC business owner and technician. I don't build anything, but I certainly understand how difficult these tests can be. Maybe someday I will be an inspector. I am not really sure where the best place to go for practice tests or the best resources besides the books and study guides.
ОтветитьWill this video be helpful if iam taking the class C ? I know i dont need the concrete! Just looking to get my roofing on and siiding here in iowa!
ОтветитьAwesome video! Thank you! Humble informative and direct
ОтветитьThank you for the video! Can you send the link for tab guidance?
ОтветитьI had a question- I have my Class C, so am familiar with the format. However I have been preparing for the Class B. I am confused as to if the test actually addresses both the IBC and IRC books and concrete manual. In the sample test book- questions it seems like everything can be found in the IBC?
Second question- I’m tempted to just start over and start prepping for the Class A test as it only uses the IBC and concrete manual. Any suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I appreciate the video and advice. I’m in WA, where there’s no testing, just a lot of compliance officers. I’m thinking of moving east, and I’m finding many of the more urban areas throughout the middle US does licensing by jurisdiction like where you are. I have been planning to take the test, just to give me more options. This gives me a good place to start. Thank you!
ОтветитьGreat feedback! Thanks Dude!
Ответитьthank you for the information, very helpfull
ОтветитьI have the 2021 book. Is that an issue if I am purchasing the 2015 practice tests?

ОтветитьAwesome , thanks for the great info!!
ОтветитьSuper informative, great help, thanks so much
ОтветитьBased on your approach to this process, I’d hire you to build my house. I appreciate the help as I prep for my test next month.
ОтветитьThanks bro you gave me the confidence I needed to go after this test...all the way fr9m new orleans big thanks to you bro!!! ✊️
ОтветитьI passed all my R5 certs on my first attempt. The key is 1) knowing the questions are weighted and 2) knowing the test is not your friend. It is designed to have a 50/50 pass fail rate (per an ICC proctor). Once I learned this, I over prepared by taking any and all practice test I could. By doing this, you almost memorize the section the question comes from (muscle memory).
I will add to his good advice, if you`re not scoring 95% + on every practice test...WAIT. Another good piece of advice I received is....when they ask a chart question...its never the first chart and they take most answers from the bottom of a long form paragraph and not the top half. So yeah, ICC is not your friend, Its trickery, but once you know this info you will increase your speed and passing rates.
Great general overview of what to expect on the exam. Much appreciated! 🤙🏽
ОтветитьObviously Contractors exam has been a pain in my ass, but that won't bother me anylonger i have gotten my license already thanks to you Mr James God bless you more cuz you made it possible for me
ОтветитьAstonishing how many great structures still standing today were built before government shakedowns…
ОтветитьFantastic advice. Thank you so much. Earned my subscription!
ОтветитьIt would have helped if you showed few examples of questions using your book
ОтветитьThis works for the trade exam, did you take the business and law? is there any workbooks for that?.
ОтветитьThank you for this. Absolutely best advice I have found too
ОтветитьIs the test multiple.choice questions?
ОтветитьAppreciate you. I passed my exam yesterday, One and done. Hope I'm not sharing too much, but didn't even look at concrete manual. Wish I knew final score but I did find the purchased tabs useful to find charts but it really was all about index, table of contents and chapter numbers as far as tabbing for me. I signed up with 3 weeks to study and got the tests you recommended. Thanks again for your information, and good luck to anyone else that is going to take it.
ОтветитьF35-N - F35 - Class DF Fire Suppression Installation Contractor - anyone know where I can get a study guide for this exam ?
ОтветитьWell articulated.
ОтветитьI took the test a week ago and passed. I had seen this video, it was a point in the right direction. But how do you get your % score? My authenticator still says taken and passed.
ОтветитьI print out the Index and put in a small (reference book) 3 ring binder, saves me time as it is open to the side.
I also write in the index if applicable and short enough the answer to what I am looking for.
In the reference book I include any quick reference pages, I like pictures over text.
In the book when you see a number written ex: four, I write 4 in the margin. Much faster to find when scanning.
Good info for someone who doesn’t know how the testing process goes .. they do not make that clear .
Thanks man 👍
Great video and thanks for posting. Do you have a guess on what % of questions came out of the IRC vs IBC?
ОтветитьThank you
Ответитьyou realize that you didn't link the practiced test. just an amazon link
ОтветитьThanks! Very helpful!
ОтветитьI cannot find the test prep book you used.
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьIn California we must memorize the code
ОтветитьThanks Dude, very helpful, doing the test Monday morning
ОтветитьI’m in Florida. How is it different with book from you and from Florida…?
ОтветитьThank for the info S
ОтветитьWell we just have to go to general contractor's license questions and I'll go from there basically my experience should hold me water for most of this stuff there's nothing I haven't done from roofing and trust from foundation to framing electrical plumbing and I've done a little bit work work I don't like it but a little bit of sheetrock and then you know and I do a little bit of exterior finish I've done a little bit of fireplace installation with The Rock chimneys and stuff like that and kind of you know framing in Windows and you know custom window systems and double garage doors and you know a little bit of a camera and electrical systems with the garage door security system installation basically little bit of landscaping done a couple driveway sidewalks a little bit of concrete
ОтветитьYeah the master Carpenter the Craftsman Carpenter for several years built houses up in the Yukon they're still still in existence or Old brick 4 story homes looks something out of the Confederacy but they're pretty nice I used one hell of a lot of nails on that one 90 green sinkers that building will stand into the you know next
ОтветитьWhat state did you get the test?
ОтветитьDude I'm from Paris and i can tell you that since know you're my Hero. A partir de maintenant, tu es mon héros . Merci
