Once you go OLED, you don't ever want to go back.
ОтветитьSorry Tim, to me one of the best large format 4K display is the Asus PG38UQ. No OLED burn-in, no annoying ABL, comes with the right connections and 38" is JUST RIGHT.
ОтветитьYeah! I picked a winner with the LG 32GR93U, and was lucky to get it at $559 instead of $799. Thanks Tim!
ОтветитьA lot of us would love to see reviews on Innocn monitors. For me specifically, I'd love to see a video on the 27M2V and the 40C1R.
ОтветитьWhat about the Gigabyte M32UC? Why the VA hate?
ОтветитьI'm willing to pay the price of PG42UQ BUT is the PG32UCDM a better size since it'll also have a higher refresh rate?
ОтветитьI’ve still not seen anything that matches the bang for buck of the Dell G3223Q - 4K 32”, excellent factory calibration, solid motion performance for an IPS, freesync, good SDR brightness, a great srgb clamp option, and £600-630 new in the UK. I think it’s similar in dollars in numbers but haven’t checked.
Downsides are the ‘hdr’ it has is very very bad, and can even have backlight flickering if using that plus VRR. Also, its HDMI 2.1 is not full bandwidth.
For the price though still excellent - a shame they tacked on the hdr as if they’d left it out and passed on the savings it’d be even greater value.
did i hear him correct? 32 inch next year😮🤯😳😖😵
Ответитьhmm was hoping to see if the new 57" Samsung would have been a contender. :)
ОтветитьStill no good 4k 240hz options eh
ОтветитьI just bought a 55" C2 (smallest size available in my country). I needed to move my desk 1 meter away from the wall... but oh boy, I feel like I need to rewatch all my movies
ОтветитьWhat about future 4K OLED monitors for artists, for those who work extensively in programs like Photoshop and Illustrator? Won't they contribute to burn-in in static interface areas? And do you think there will be any improvement in IPS monitors when OLEDs enter the market, or will they simply disappear as it happened with screens for mobile phones?
ОтветитьI got the Neo G7 for $850 on Prime Day. I'm thrilled with it!
ОтветитьPlease do wideo about best 1440p monitors
ОтветитьWeird there hasnt been any 4k ultra wide format monitors released yet...
ОтветитьCan we get a tier list of the best HDR 1000 monitors of ALL TIME?
Ответитьwould you recommend c2 oled triples for sim racing? we need recommendation love from sim racing community
Ответить4k gaming still a joke in 2023
ОтветитьFor the LG 32gr93b do you have any issues using desktop speakers and using a console like xbox series x and Nintendo switch?
ОтветитьYour video was a game-changer for me. Thank you! 😍
ОтветитьCan you please make a Gaming + Editing monitor video for the low end budget
ОтветитьI just picked up a used LG 27GP950 for $400. Pretty happy with my purchase
ОтветитьI was interested in the standard size 4K HDR section of this video, but unfortunately the curvature of the Neo G7 is just a complete deal breaker for me. I've been wondering about the Cooler Master Tempest GP27U, which you reviewed fairly highly, and can be had for a pretty decent $800USD price tag. My use case is mixed between gaming and (mostly text based) productivity in a fairly heavily sunlit room. Do you think this would be a strong alternative for this category?
ОтветитьWe need more 27” HDR monitors besides the OLEDs .
ОтветитьI'm surprised the Cooler Master GP27U isn't here
ОтветитьCan you please make a buying guide for 32in 1440p and 4K monitors
Ответитьanything below 4k 240hz is peasant stuff. I'm still waiting for decent 4k monitor worth upgrading which can be used for both single player and fps games. Samsung neo G8 is out of question which leaves no 4k 240hz monitor in the market until Asus come out with theirs.
ОтветитьIf it ain't OLED, it ain't OK
ОтветитьStill rocking my C1 as a monitor, 48in is a bit extreme but the immersion is amazing
ОтветитьCan you do 1440p update video?
Ответитьgood to see 4k becoming more affordable! i wish you would have mentioned which Monitors have a built in KVM switch, for those who have duel setups its a make or break feature
Ответитьhe never gives the samsung odyssey neo g8 its due credit I hate it
ОтветитьHow about 49" Super UltraWide behemoths?
5120x1440 seems the ultimate resolution both gaming & work...
SAMSUNG ODYSSEY NEO G8
ОтветитьHow did the gaming TV LGC2 get a recommendation over the actual monitor ROG PG42UQ? Isn't the PG42UQ just better for monitor use in every way?
ОтветитьWhat if I want 42 inch but without going oled?🤔
ОтветитьMy LG C2 still the best purchase. Thank you Tim.
ОтветитьI would also like to see super-expensive monitors showcased in a "best" list. 4k 32" monitors can have serious professional usage, and in those cases, budgets can be easily upwards of $5k. Example: Asus PG32UQ(X)
ОтветитьI'm going to buy the Asus ROG PG27UQR
ОтветитьYou couldn't have come out with this video at a better time. 😂😂
I literally bought a neo g7 yesterday. This video just helped justify my choice.
Love your videos here.
I also just bought the neo g7 for under 800$ usd
There's no way I'd buy a non-validated freesync monitor. They almost always have issues such as microstuttering, brightness flickering or random black frames which is more often than not the reason they're not officially g-sync compatible. Some of these issues can be subtle so not all reviewers immediately notice them, but if you're sensitive to these issues avoid non-validated displays.
G-sync compatibility is not just a sticker that brands pay for. Nvidia tests all freesync monitors quite thoroughly and they know what to look for, so when a monitor from a popular brand isn't g-sync validated there's definitely something wrong. I generally agree with hardware unboxed, but it's ridiculous to claim that a non-validated monitor is the best in its class when there are other monitors with similar performance that do have official g-sync support.
I don't know how you guys test g-sync performance, but I have a feeling you're not putting enough of an emphasis on it during your testing and you hardly even mention it in your reviews. Using Nvidia's g-sync pendulum demo is probably the best way to test g-sync performance. Set the FPS from 30 to 144 and observe the entire display as the framerate changes. Zoom out so that you can more easily spot brightness flickering and other issues. All non-validated displays I've owned had brightness pulsing even with a capped framerate and some had microstutter, especially in the lower refresh range.
I grabbed the LG 32GQ950-B for $795 32' 4K 160Hz & I am VERY happy with the purchase :) Tim really liked the monitor
ОтветитьThe video should be called “best 4K gaming monitors 2023 we have tested”. The X32FP is notably missing, for instance. The PG38UQ would be interesting to see as well, even though it’s just an edge lit IPS. Good work, though, thanks.
ОтветитьI'm debating on whether to get an LG C3 42" on a Black Friday sale, or waiting for the LG C4 and hoping its a big upgrade. I've been dying to know just how big of an update the C4 will be over the C3. I know the C2 compared to the C3 is barely an upgrade at all. Hoping the C4 is different.
ОтветитьOn paper, the Coolermaster Tempest seems like an amazing deal: why isn’t it ever considered at the top of your list?
ОтветитьAre you gonna review the crazy new monitors Samsung revealed recently at Gamescom? There’s like an insanely massive ultrawide one I’d be so curious to see!
ОтветитьIs there a reason to buy a 4k monitor?
Ответить42" LG C2 at $789 gets my vote! That's the price I got mine at when the C3 models came out from Best Buy. I know prices went back up but look for them when they drop. 4k OLED 120 Hz for under a grand can be had!!
Ответить
