Gaming Performance: i3 vs i5, i7, i9 Intel 12th-gen

Can you stream and game all at once on an i5 laptop?

What isn't mentioned is the higher clocks and IPC on i7 chips vs i5's.

This is the basic build that I have in mind,, it doesn't include GPU as of now, but working on a cost effective option for that which I can use for a while then upgrade. I can really use suggestions for this. The below build will cost me around $450

its not just the matter of FPS its how hard these cpus are working, that i3 may deliver close fps performance as i9 but its shitting its guts out doing so almost 90C, while i9 barely using one arm. You cant game for 3 hours while your cpu is running at 90C lol

awesome video i just bought an RX7900XTX for almost half price used on amazon and was about to order the i9 but now i think im just going to go with the i5!

I have I3-12700f for premiere pro and something like that and also for my faculty, and I think if I have luck, it will be worth it 😁

what did you use to see the usage of the cpu

I9-13900k RTX4090 and 2x32gb DDR5 5600mHz is my Set up
And it was this expensive but it was worth it

I got an i7 6700hq and an i3-9100F and ryzen 9 3900x and played World of tanks and GTA V but surprisingly with i3 I got about 60-75fps in world of tanks and in GTA I got about 40-60 fps and with i7 I got about 90-120 fps in WOT and 55-90fps in GTA and the ryzen 9 surprisingly it delivered almost the same fps as i3 ryzen gave me about 85-110 fps in WOT and in GTA I got the best fps 100-150 fps

ALL WERE TESTED WITH RTX 3080 AND IN ULTRA GRAPHICS

yeah. but from what has been shown here, at least in theory and at the moment(meaning it night change in the future), someone running the i3 isn't losing much if their monitor can only get up to 60hz. meaning that even pairing an rtx3070 or 3080 with an i3 isn't awful if the target resolution is 4k. kind of nice to see that the era of quadcores being decent gaming CPUs isn't over. regardless, i personally went with an i5 12600k.

Now do it for the ryzen CPU's

is ok for gaming
it can handle almost every game
