The amazon price is 48$ for the orange-handle one...quite a ways from 26-27$. They must figure your video has increased demand, so the price goes up to "whatever the market will bear".

It wouldn't be a fair test if you sharpened them first so you are doing the right thing in my opinion testing them straight from the box my friend never mind these idiots who say sharpen it first ,not everyone can put a good edge on a knife ,there are some people who have to get friends or even pay somewhere to do it for them ,but anyway love your videos keep up the good work and testing Respect from GLASGOW SCOTLAND

Not as big as some of the other rambo knives. Has quite a bit of stuff in it that would come in handy. No saw on it. Cuts wood pretty well. Feril rod better than matches lasts a long time. Good balance. Could be larger though. However good knife.

Yeah I trust any thing from cold steel. They are the best I have a bunch of knifes and swords an a some other goodies from them .

I don't have a problem with the first knife review in the sense of "Out of the Box". They couldn't have bugged you if you mentioned that. I personally use Benchmade and Kershaw for personal carry.

That is a MOra knife. I have 27 of them, very sharp knives, I use them for fishing, have them on boat, in car, tackle box etc, very very sharp knives. I have orange ones, made in SWEDEN.

Buddy nowadays you dont know what you are actually buying, many are out contracted and made by others and stamped as there own.........

Hopefully last movie? What?! You do know that he used a full tang knife since the third movie? I'm one of those that thinks the last film was probably the best one! So much was addressed. I get that the knife test is going with the first 2 films. Still, give some credit where it's due? He switched to the much more efficient full tang. Maybe test those blades? That being said, still like your vids!!! 🤙

Was the balance test done with or without the kit inside?

Much better than expected, batoning with it without breaking it in half, as well as sticking it, really shows that handle is no joke. I like hollow handled survival knives, not for batoning wood! Lol, but they are great as that 1 thing on your belt you could bug out with then fish, cut some cordage, start a fire and SURVIVE! Cold Steel are always razor sharp out of the box.

Hey Bryan, don't pay ANY attention to those who said "no test w/o sharpening", because: "ANY KNIFE WORTH ANYTHING SHOULD BE SHARP - STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX", PERIOD🤯!!! No testing done is an "HONEST test" when you first sharpen the knife before testing😮!!! That's a reason why you shouldn't always listen to a society because society's (almost always) have been proven to be "NOT SO SMART" (every one that's not here today)🤔! Being smart and intelligent isn't the same thing, and to find both in one person is very difficult 😮.

1) those who say that they "know" another person is in that group - it's impossible to "know" any person unless you're able to read their mind (regardless of how long you've been around them!), you're just making an "guestament"🤯!!!

I bought this months ago on your recommendation and totally impressed how well it's held up. It's not going to replace my bk-9, but it's not supposed to. Added a mini tube of krazy glue, med and water tabs, some fire cotton and waxed matches, and wrapped the sheath in paracord. It's so light and cheap, you can throw it in a bag, glove box and forget about it until you're stuck. Thanks for doing these hollow knife reviews without any of the "I'd never use a knife that isn't full tang." nonsense. The light duty, cheap tool you have on hand is a hell of a lot more useful than the perfect one ya didn't bring that day.

Dude you gave a positive review to that girl's APO1 knife and yet you have a problem with the harbor freight knife? Hold on I know what it is she sent you that knife for free and harbor freight didn't. Am I right?

I came up with this definition of a "Survival Knife": "Stout double guard knife design that attempts to make a differentiated active use of the non-edge blade side."  Note that "differentiated active use" could be as little as a bevelled clip point, even if not sharp(!). However a "flat spine" clip, or a drop point, have no "active" spine features and so do not constitute a "Survival Knife". Of note is a large double edge dagger does not count either because the "spine" feature is not "differentiated"... How's that for a definition?

Personally I think I would go with the harbor freight knife over this one for the simple fact that it’s a plastic Handle that fact alone makes this knife a no go for me I wouldn’t be able to trust the plastic enough I may have to carry a Allen key for the harbor freight knife or just use some loctite but latest I know the handle will last over time for and be more stable

I'm pretty impressed with Cold Steel's knives from my experience with the SRK. This survival knife is cheap enough that it could make a good Christmas present. It has a good novelty factor going for it while also being an actual useful item.

New,...... some knives are sharp,.....and some are not.
I'd bet this cold steel knife is great steel,... its just a lousy design.
A full tang Bowie with good steel is one of the knives I'd be carrying and the other knife would be 4 inches,... good steel.
