Just someone to sit and talk to you and make you feel valued can help so so much , I started on antidepressants 30 years ago , I also ended up on higher and higher doses as they gradually stopped having effect, then I was switched to new antidepressants only for the same thing to happen, sitting here writing this I’m no better 30 years on I still get chronology depressed and nothing really helps, I’m convinced meds actually make you worse over time
ОтветитьSimple Genious!
Ответитьi'm in tears watching this. i always have this voice in my head saying that other people are stronger than me. more able to understand how they can ease their depression or anxiety. its a really lonely feeling. it helps when you can relate to the person talking about this. and that we are together in this world, even in this wierd individualized society <3 thank you Johann.
Ответитьwhat is his book name if anyone know?
ОтветитьNon é quello che propone anche lo psichiatra Massimo Fagioli?
Ответить"Be us " can be something better way to overcome anxiety
ОтветитьThe key is to clear subconscious trauma. Once cleared it is as though the trauma did not happen. Trauma is not what happened to you...Trauma is how you feel about what happened to you. See me for clearing.
ОтветитьSweet give me my “cow” then and it is all fixed! I wish …
ОтветитьTake this, narcissists
Ответить❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьThis is why modern society f&-+(&g sucks. Profit is all that matters and the system is designed to be that way.
ОтветитьWow, this is so important and well explained. It's a signal!
ОтветитьThe depression is even worse when you never really feel like you "fit in" anywhere and always feel out of place. If one our main reasons for being is to be connected to others and you constantly struggle to do so it can be pretty soul crushing, making you feel like you dont belong here at all
ОтветитьIf you follow religious remedies n values and be disciplined in life; you will not be anxious and depressed anymore; study Islam!
ОтветитьWhen you are jobless, when you are in debt & have no money , when you have no real friend or a loved one who loves you - Depression & Anxiety dwells there!
ОтветитьSpewing a lot of BS. Depression is largely a bio-chemical electrical issue. Parts of the brain are not firing correctly. Look up SAINT-TMS etc.
ОтветитьCan anyone suggest books that bolster and follow the same path as this video?.
I'd love to know and read them
great talk mate really better than you hear from doctors etc well done
Ответить🧡🧡🧡
ОтветитьBrilliant. Really well thought out and explored. Thank you.
ОтветитьAs long as we're able to mask all feelings of unhappiness in a world that's utterly being trashed by humanity all shall be fine. Yeah, you got to love sarcasm.
ОтветитьIt is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society
ОтветитьIn South African the cow story, the group that Lisa attended, we call it ubuntu. "Umntu ngumntu ngabantu", is our prided generational saying translation: a person is a person because of others.

ОтветитьЭто очень крутое выступление. Спасибо. ❤Всё так просто,и так необходимо.
ОтветитьSo how does one meet people nowadays?
ОтветитьWe could END, not only Depression and anxiety but, a whole host of mental illnesses if we had all of these:
1. Universal Healthcare
2. Universal Basic Income
3. House the Homeless
4. Clean Water & Food
5. Teach Mental Health/DBT Skills in Schools, every grade level. Including Free Parenting Classes.
6. Hold Abusers Accountable(Including priests!) / Stronger protections for victims of any form of abuse.
7. Strict Gun Laws
8. Police and Prison Reform
9. END SYSTEMIC RACISM
10. Protection for women's bodily autonomy and right to choose and Protection for lgbtq
And 11. No one with signs of Narcissistic PD or sociopaths or psychopaths can be elected to hold ANY positions of government office or power over vulnerable people.
this made me cry it’s very true isn’t it
ОтветитьMon Dieu ! SIMPLEMENT RÉVOLUTIONNAIRE . 1000 Mercis
Ответитьgreat speech!
ОтветитьUBI will solve this problem too, not 100%, but it liberates us from unwanted pressure and working, and allow us to reconnect with the world, balance our life in a way that makes we feel safe, at the right paces too.
ОтветитьOne of the most insightful, informative and deeply emotional understanding on the subject... so fortunate to see this as its such a 'hidden gem'....
ОтветитьThis is an amazing talk thank you…… it’s so relevant to me I can hardly believe it 😊
ОтветитьIf someboady comes here, goes with something😀
ОтветитьYou're a f-ingg HUMAN BEING WITH UNMET NEEDS. That is all.
ОтветитьI have been battling depression and anxiety which has only been getting worse by days.
Listening to this was refreshing. Best of all the lines were like junk food has taken over our physical health junk values have taken over life.
Amazing, and like he said we all kinda knew that at some point but refused or found it hard to do the things needed. And I think the reason for that is specifically internet, as it is the thing we spend a lot of time on and postpone Or neglect a lot of the important things because of it.
ОтветитьFraud said to a depressed patient.." Maybe your depressed because your surrounded by assholes"....yep l certainly was. Not depressed anymore.
ОтветитьFax
ОтветитьI really want a society like the one in Cambodia. ❤ doctors who think and operate and feel like that: in a 360 logic and compassionate way .
ОтветитьI highly recommend people to look into micro dosing therapy of psychedelics… they can be a life saver
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьPeople do not trust people anymore. We live in a culture of moral decline. People don't want to get together anymore. People would rather get on social media to attempt to meet their need for social interaction. We like to label most people as toxic and instead of learning social skills and learning to deal with people we just cut them out of our lives. We isolate. Also the affect Hollywood and television has had on our minds is astronomical and not in a good way. Turn off the TV. Put the phones down and reach out to others.
ОтветитьThanks for this, TED talks!
ОтветитьAs a man I feel that I don't have a purpose. My ex wife made more money than me and she would remind me of it. She would get mad at me and tell me she wanted a divorce. Monder liberal, feminist women with the mindset that they don't need a man have killed a father's purpose.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this, it's helped me realize even more about myself and where I am right now in life.
I don't ever watch any Ted talks, this has been the first one in years and I'm glad I got curious instead of rejecting it like I did initially.
And that's how I find what I need what I want thank you❤
ОтветитьThe part that impressed me the most is that they helped the rice worker find a solution by sharing his problem. but nowadays it is always said that we have to solve our problems ourselves. but I can't detect if my brain is working correctly and if my approach to the problem is correct. I need a second opinion or even to be guided. I really like this part of the story because for the first time someone understands my point.
ОтветитьI love this 😢
