Temple of Nod Showcase - Lands of Lore 3

This feels like a game I would have adored as a kid (similar to might and magic) but would have zero context for the Sci-fi portion due to not knowing C&C as a child!

Also love CABAL’s “goodbye Dave”, 2001: A Space Odyssey reference.

I'm here from the CABAL lore video. This is so cool to see Westwood made C&C references in their other games, which I had never even heard of until now.

Does the Turret have any name in game?

The fact that this entire area feels hidden in a game that was designed with an entirely different audience in mind makes this outcome to the Tiberium universe feel, well, like it was never meant to be found.

Even with Copper's cheese filled voice acting, the entire section feels haunting knowing that this would happen if the Firestorm Crisis ended in humanity's loss.

The voice of the narrator sounds very similar to that of the one from the ESO channel.

Wow, how many C&C fans don't know about this? I sure didn't. It came before Tiberian Sun too. Very interesting. Whoever played both games back then must have felt like a real insider lol.

Here I am in 2021, I keep watching this hoping, praying for a Command and Conquer Remastered Collection 2 with Tiberian Sun (my overall favorite due it its post apocalyptic atmosphere and CABAL and the brotherhood feeling the most real out of all the others). I find CABAL way more interesting than LEGION especially because of the added human component and when he tried to take over the world and by the sounds of things coming quite close to doing so in Firestorm with Tiberium doing most of the damage with earth having at least 1 year left before becoming completely uninhabitable to humans according to Doctor Gabriella Boudreau, Luckily GDI wins in the cannon and the knowledge gained from the tacitus allows GDI to create the green zones in CNC 3. I hope more remasters are done well in 2022 and it revives CNC as a whole, To me even in CNC4 the scrin were never really defeated and only defeated from earth, this leaves a lot of potential that should be harnessed.

This is a wonderful video. 3 never soared to the heights Lands of Lore 1 and (especially) 2 did, truly all time great RPGs. It did have some cool merits such as this crossover. Thanks for showcasing this.

Adored this game when it came out, and once it became digitally available I went back to replaying it at least once a year. Too bad we never got more like it.

it feels so wierd seeing someone from a medieval world react with a..post apocalyptic command and conquer desert...like he talks like its magic but we all know it better cause of computers..but hes talking wierdly...and a theory..mabye this is in africa..and in a alternate timeline where the firestorm crisis got so bad...nukes had to be used..turning africa into a nuclear wasteland and affecting europe and the middle east..and mabye that guy was form the crash orca..but he banged his dead on the way down thus forgetting alot and probably leaving his armor in the crashed orca aircraft.....and mabye cabal still got defeated..but he managed to retreat to the this temple...where he would likely be planning his revenge..perhaps planning to capture humans to turn into cyborgs..preparing for his reemergence...and than the rest happens as the same..expect african theaters as africa would be dead..but thats just a theory! A GAME THEORY! XD

Been aware of this Nod themed dungeon for a long time now, never played Lands of Lore, but I read about it in the wiki. Never had a detailed look inside it, so this was really neat.

Those voxel models looks like they were converted from the same cinematic models from tib sun (the ones you can see from gooch's website), which kind of interesting to me because its probably the only surviving public iteration of those cinematic models.

Thanks for uploading the footage. I always heard about this level in the mid-2000s on C&C message boards. But aside from a few brief screenshots, no further documentation existed back then.

One of the most epic (in its own bizarre way) moments in the LoL franchise. Gotta admit that I enjoyed it quite a bit, even if I'm not a fan of mixing sci-fi with more traditional fantasy. Oh, and the music in this level I think it was made by Frank Klepacki, in true C&C fashion 😎

Man I'd love to see a whole RPG like Fallout set in the Tiberian universe, preferrably Tib Sun cause it's just so incredibly FULL of lore and atmosphere.
