Yeah right, more performance than the M2s, until you unplug it, then the table turns even in 3D rendering, and your battery goes to shit, and for a laptop, the whole point is to use it unplugged on the go, not connected to an outlet like a desktop because at that point, you might as well build an itx PC, not to mention windows laptop QC often sucks.

Personally, I find that it's completely dependent on your workflow. I can't stand to do content creation on a laptop so battery is never a consideration as I will only edit while back at my desk where I can work on dual color accurate 32" monitors. It's way too cramped to work on a complex Premiere timeline with after effects on a small screen. On a big screen you can arrange everything on two screens for a much more enjoyable workflow. So in that sense, I don't care if the full power of the laptop is only available with the brick plugged in. Most laptops give you plenty of battery power for just consuming content while on a flight and now just about all flights have charging ports and if they don't, a 60W+ battery pack does the trick in a pinch.

Unless I absolutely have to do content creation on the road, my laptop collects dust. I can certainly see the merits of the MBP if you have to get a lot done on the go but my goodness do i find it dreadful to work on a small screen. Especially when you're spoiled by a powerful desktop that can do it all. I certainly appreciate the dedicated power for encoding baked into the new Apple silicon, that's a nice touch for sure. Naturally if you're a final cut aficionado, the choice is the Apple route.

While I definitely think there are good Windows laptops and your content is of high quality - I am of the strong opinion that your takes are absolute trash.

People don't buy Macs for the power and barely ever did.

It's power EFFICIENCY and then build quality, display, mic quality, quietness and what not.

Your Windows machines wouldn't last me a full day with battery still remaining if I don't plug them in after a few hours. Unless I tweak the shit out of them and paranoidly monitor consumption at every second which I don't have neither the time nor the willingness to do.

After 60 seconds it's clear you don't know what you're talking about. The main benefit of the MacBook laptops is CERTAINLY NOT the sheer power of their chips. That's easy to match. The Apple Silicon advantage is that they run at full power, whisper quiet, for hours. No Windows laptop can touch that. I wish it wasn't true! Personally I run a home-built desktop computer because ANY laptop is too limiting for what I need to do.

eh NO, if your a gamer, or need a Windows laptop for a specific Applicaiton that only runs on a Windows machine... i am a creative and front end programmer, i'll keep the Macbook and MacStudio in my arsenal the macbooks typically last 8-10 yrs with almost zero down time..

If I have to switch to Windows, that's a bad deal at any price. If I don't want to pay for a new M2 Mac, I'll just buy a used one with an i9.

Why would I want to spend 2x on a laptop? I can get a m1 MacBook air for $670 refurbished through backmarket. "Get this laptop instead!" Because it costs more than an m2 Mac! Makes sense to me. I get that it has a better display but it's a lot of plastic and you still have to deal with windows. I hate that every time I open my laptop it feels like I have a new update almost every other week. I don't think it's worth it. It takes a nearly $3000 laptop to do what a $1500 MacBook can do. As a person on a budget learning coding, I'm going second hand market m1 MacBook air for a 5th the price. Serviceable.

This laptop is for pros that don’t leave their workspace, also for me I wouldn’t want a 15” or 16 if I’ll on my desk all day I’d rather go with a desktop for a on the desk use, the MacBook Pro is for on the go use and not just Power but battery life and power ratio

Ok but were is the portability on this laptops? They are more like tanks than laptops, you don't mention anything about battery life i mean yes they can beat an M2 book pro, also a desktop can do it for half of the price too but they don't have the same efficiency of mac as a working mobile station without bring the power brick with you all the time. Btw if you look the price of those laptops are more expensive than a mac let say buying an M1 max macbook pro ref with good specs they easly can blow them away, if you checks those models on amazon they even more expensive so what is point? Don't get me wrong I am not a mac fan, but I am aware that macs got a very long life compare regular laptops over the years that's why the price is too high on this devices.
