One of the most horrific films I've seen... just because is based in a real life case.

The ending disappointed me when they tried to freeze the ghost with liquid nitrogen that was so stupid and unbelievable

I enjoyed this movie, but, like so many horror movies, it never seems to air on TV.

What kind of idiots would let their children watch a movie like this?

"Honey, the kids want to watch this movie on cable TV".
"What kind of movie is it?"
"It's a horror movie."
"Oh, you mean one of those classic 1930s-1940s horror movies like Creature from the Black Lagoon, or Frankenstein?"
"No. It's rated R. it's about a woman who gets repeatedly assaulted by a poltergeist in her house. There's some pretty explicit rape scenes in it".
"Oh, that's fine. The kids are 5 and 7 years old anyway".

Love, love, love this film. When I was little, it scared the living shit out of me. First time I watched it was late at night with my brothers. We turned all the lights off and watched it in the living room. I was too scared to go to bed afterwards. My brothers all went to bed and I was left downstairs. It really, really frightened me. Now, it doesn't scare me but it's a fantastic film.

This film.....haunted my childhood. Scary!
