Why do you think American cars don't sell in Japan? Protectionism? Reliability? Vehicle size? Lack of dealer support?
Is it worthwhile for U.S. companies to invest in the Japanese market?
Basically that guy remind the US that the world does not revolves around their goddamn selves. 😅
ОтветитьJapan doesn’t buy American dogshit cars
ОтветитьIf you're going to Japan, you can find the answer. The roads are very narrow, and parking areas are terribly small. but us brand are making very big car
ОтветитьIts simple japan is homogeneous and 🇺🇸 is not...
ОтветитьWe have k cars in Jamaica 🇯🇲 they are very nice for city driving
Ответитьcoz American cars are shiet. hard to find parts, has no longevity, breaks up easily
ОтветитьWhen American carmakers are being outsold by the Japanese even on their home market, why would they expect to sell anything in Japan?
ОтветитьJapaneses vehicles are toys compared to American. The need of consumers is different as Japanese consumers can be satisfied even with Mr Bean's car due to their height roads and utilization.
ОтветитьJeep: Allow me to introduce myself
ОтветитьEvery Ford I ever owned was a piece of junk that broke down constantly, and I was buying almost new vehicles with only 20k or 30k miles. The first Toyota I ever bought went to 190k miles without a single problem
Ответитьbecause american cars are too big and not the most reliable
ОтветитьPlenty of Japanese love American cars and motorcycles, there’s even a road racing class for full-size vans, mainly the old Dodges. Probably the best daily ridden vintage Harleys are in Japan.
ОтветитьThe Asian people stick together. They want to rule the world
ОтветитьMostly because most countries promote country first policies. And American car imports are heavily taxed.
ОтветитьAmerican build quality is horrendous. Ask any mechanic where they make their money. They'll say "Mopar, Ford, GM, Nissan, Hyundai/Kia" Our employee parking lot is only late 90s early 2000's Honda's and Toyota's, while our service drive is full of the vehicles I mentioned earlier🤷♂️ Keep buying them! You help me pay off my mortgage!😂
ОтветитьIn India too, all US auto failed.
One and only Reason: They come with an American attitude- We love these SuVs, you will love them too. But never care to invest or do R&D to suit Local consumers. Very rarely one or two models grab the market but for a short time bcoz again they don't keep up pace or do R&D further to analyse demand.
- Even after analysis, they have an attitude that seems like, this is what we think is the best. The demands don't match the company's aims.
I think this video missed the fact that US cars sell poorly in almost every country in the world aside from Canada and Mexico.
ОтветитьAmerican cars don't sell in Japan because Japanese are loyal to their country, and their economy. Even in the U.S., Japanese are driving Japanese vehicles.
ОтветитьBecause they think we make junk. But they are smart you buy local you keep local working
ОтветитьThis is why put way of dping business with dealerships is a pain!! They screw the customers here. Maybe American dealerships need to take some hints from Japan!
If I lived in Japan I wouldnt want to buy an american or do busoness at an american.dealership! Our car mfgs are crooks, theyake crappy products and you jave to deal with the crappy dealerarships who are always looking for ways to scame yoi!! So yeah why would you want to buy american car or deal wtih an American dealership!!😅
I've been to Japan. I don't see any dealers at all. Toyota, Honda, etc all have their own stores.
ОтветитьIn South Africa, there are 4x4 safari tour operators that don't allow Jeep on safaris, because the unreliability could lead to fatalities. A Geländewagen, Landcruiser or Patrol is just more trustworthy far from the city. Their wheels don't come off.
ОтветитьWe don't like those unwieldy barges with bad handling and no cornering ability. American cars are incompatible with proper cars built elsewhere.
Ответитьchevy's astro van has Japanese occult following even after discontinue.....they seem to like the American style van
Japanese view for American cars as being crapy is even more true today then decades ago
I reside in Japan, and I am Japanese. I myself drive a BMW and see lots of German cars on the road. That's because I think whenever people think about buying an import, they first go to Mercs, Beemers, and Audis because they associate them with luxury. Now, it's not necessarily like that with American vehicles. So, I think the challenge with the US manufacturer is: How to make their products more appealing to the consumers who buy these cars.
ОтветитьEven Africa we dont love American cars..they are not economical on fuel and are high on carbon emmissions..dont even get me started on their rediculous overrated high prices for no good reasons at all., wee lovejapan and chinese cars more followed by german and france , because they check our boxes well, fuell ecnomy, low carbon emmisions, they are solid and practical too..US ..weell..nop
ОтветитьJapanese car manufacturers learnt from American manufacturers, American manufacturers didn't learn from Japanese manufacturers ...
ОтветитьTo large, drink Gas.
ОтветитьWhy american cars dont do well in japan is because american dropped two bombs in japan. Thats the answer
Ответитьis it Nolan from Donut media narrating?
ОтветитьI’ve owned jeeps and Toyotas. Jeeps constantly giving problems. Toyota, never an issue.
ОтветитьI swear 90's Toyota's and Honda's are the closest thing to street legal tanks.
ОтветитьIt’s not pronounced “kay”, it’s pronounced “key”… kei car.
ОтветитьI had ford for 10 years and been happy with it but I totally understand that us made cars are low in quality conpare with European or Japanese cars
ОтветитьWhy American cars fail in japan? Uh.. lack of everything. Qualities, Liability etc... built cheap never built to last most American cars, ahah!
Ответить"Why Ford And Other American Cars Don’t Sell In Japan?" When you can make them better than the U.S., why bother?
ОтветитьBecause American too big lol.
ОтветитьI would NEVER own a Japanese car.
ОтветитьNo mention of Subaru?
ОтветитьProbably because Japan and America are two vastly different countries with vastly different car needs.
ОтветитьQuality. Made in USA don’t mean anything any more.
ОтветитьJapan caption : How U.S. beg and cry to sell their cars in our country
ОтветитьMany years ago I went to Japan and found out there are many places only accept JCB card or even if they accept American Visa or Master card it doesn’t go thru. A friend of mine told the government did that to protect their own corporations.

Same goes to American cars business they use some little tactics to fend off competition. And for China today they similar use that model but it doesn’t work as well because they are much bigger. And that’s what trade tension today.
american cars is big for in Japans road. And Japan love their own product. The JDM..
ОтветитьThe $14,000 Tax it what it is.
ОтветитьHi Pierre, as a renter, I really appreciate you taking up housing affordability issues.
While addressing supply side issues are important, I hope your solution is also surrounded around first time home buyers; a policy which addresses the problem of houses being treated as a commodity. It's really unfair when youngsters today are struggling to buy their first house and there are people who own 10-20 houses. These investors out bid first time buyers of today who have limited financial means.
A possible solution: Preference to first time home buyers in new housing projects; Increased tax on rental income; possible cap on number of homes an individual could own; cap on rent increases and transparent home bidding process.
Let’s just stop selling Japanese in America asswell
ОтветитьIt's no rocket science why American cars don't do good in Japan , as they are costly , unreliable, not practical for daily commute, and also they return lesser gas mileage than Japanese cars
