Just interviewed with a panel of 5 Directors and 6 questions for a DHA 7/9/11 Analyst position. With no scoring or ranking to be involved, i felt this was excessive especially given the severe shortage of candidates (reason for the DHA).

Received tentative selection 2/8/24 the email stated tentative job offer but the verbiage was selected. Hope this helps someone thru the direct hiring process

I applied for a direct hire position on 12/12/23 referred-to hiring manager. Interviewed on 1/17/24 and was told it could take 4-6 months to hear back. Keep in mind I’m a contractor at the same department since 2017.

I don't have the best resume considering my background (worked in kitchens for many many years) but something stood out for them to want to interview me on Monday after almost 2 years of applying. It's a WG7 (DHA) and offers more than I've ever made. I'm super stressed how the interview process is gonna go.

Hi, I received an email saying the position I applied for was using DHA via OPM. They did not refer me for GS12 But did refer me for GS11. What does this mean?

Does the process of investigation finger printing takes the same amount of time as regular hiring? Do they actually call ex employers and check your credit report? Or this is also waved?

I'm not sure if you have already covered this in another video. Could you explain the initial probation period and tenur for new hires? I just started my GS position and I've heard others say things about 1 year and 3 years and I'm not sure what it means. I've also heard that you have to stay in the same position for a set amount of time before you can apply for another position.

This onfo was very helpful. I applied for 2 direct hire positions with the same agency and got a response back within days telling me I was qualified. However I received a tentative job offer from a different agency prior which I accepted. My question is why did I have to do onboarding for a position I did not get a firm offer for?

Do you know why I would not be referred for a GS 12, 13, 14, but got referred for a 15?? I thought that was weird. This is for one position. I applied for all GS levels for the position and only got referred for the highest level.
