ОтветитьI have a Bantam PCB Mill that I've been trying to use for engraving CA110 copper (disks from a local jewelry shop. 1/2 hard i'm pretty sure) and I keep breaking end mills it seems no matter how much i slow down the mill. do you have any experience with that kind of copper? if so, any advice?
ОтветитьI'm new to the world of CNC and find all the available options overwhelming. I've been looking for solutions to machine small designs onto round blanks of silver, brass, and gold fill around 13mm x 13mm. Would the setup in the video work for that size? If so, what kind of longevity can I expect from the end mills you've used? Particularly the 501 PCB engraver, and the 502 PCB engraver. Thanks for the awesome content!
ОтветитьHi, what sofware are you using for CAD? and also the CNC machine?
ОтветитьMy job just got an xcarve and we were wanting to do sterling silver. Do you have to use wax to secure your piece or can you use clamps? Also do you have a link to the 1/32 bit you used for this project?
ОтветитьThat last part about the relationship between the finishing and the hardness of the material was interesting.
I've been trying to engrave on acrylic but the edges are not clean, I guess it's because of this
Would be interesting to see more working with silver as the pendent (would be good to see how you polished it too) appears to be commercial quality...
ОтветитьNice work, looking forward to more Jewellery tips with the Nomad since RIo Grande are now stocking them. I use mine for machining Wax models for lost wax casting. I have also machined Signet ring intaglios and more recently the Georgia state profile in 1.7mm Sterling Silver as stud earrings gift for my wife.
ОтветитьAnd what have you done with the collected chips?
ОтветитьMachine titanium!
