whats maximium ram you should pair with a ryzen 3 before it no longers matters?

The 5300g does 4.6 oc.. have one in one of my builds.. the cpu is only 2 yrs old 5700x is 20x better tho

I just dug out my 2200g to mess around with and it still runs the games i play guess that 3060 was a little over the top for what i needed

Just got a 3200g recently with the Wraith Prism for $21.

Used a R3 3100 in my wife's PC for a while with a 2070 super. Worked out great for most games, just try ur best to put as much work on the GPU as possible. Just recently upgraded her to a R9 3900x.

my first recent build was a 2400g 2017

i am glad that I have it cuz when I looked this in Amazon India it's like Rs 21,000 it's like 300 dollars 💀

About to upgrade one of my gigs from r5 1600 to a 5600 so hopefully I can get better fps for my 3060 ti 😅

Hey! I built my first personal desktop with a 2200g, it's sitting on the ground behind me after I just built my new rig using a 7800x3d. The 2200g absolutely kicked ass for all those years, especially for how dirt cheap it was even on launch (like $90ish, I think). The integrated graphics were amazing and I was able to delay getting my actual GPU by half a year so that I could save up to afford a better one rather than having to compromise while building the initial system.

By today's standards it's absolutely still capable of handling major games and there's nothing wrong with it as a budget option. If anything the biggest downside is just how hard it is to find them for cheap. My online searches mostly turned them up as either unwarantied+used or as costing more than launch MSRP which I thought seemed insane. If anyone finds one for anywhere remotely near the $35 you paid for it though it's absolutely the best option in that price range!

Any CPU that doesn't support PCIe 4.0 is a bad choice in my opinion

4600G / 5600G are more balanced chips IMO. Modern games need more cores, otherwise, you get lots of stuttering, which is impossible to avoid, even if you are happy to lower your graphics settings to potato levels. Also, any AM4 6-core CPU and ~5 years old mid-tier GPU will be faster together than any AM4 APU.

2700x for 40 bucks can't go wrong with that

Things I want my PC to be able to do to be able to be future proof, to not bottleneck,
for the system to flow smoothly to look nice, And be able to run at 1440p or preferably run at 2K,
And run at least 144 Hz,
And at least runs to 100 fps, Preferably more

I'm still using it until now. 😅 Bought it for 60$

Have been using this since 2018 pretty much ran all older games at 60fps with igpu and some newer titles at low settings
Now I have a dedicated gpu (1660 super) and im also thinking about upgrading to Ryzen 5 3600x

Ryzen 5 4500 is better. Same speed. More cores and more threads for only 80 bucks.

I payed $29 for a Ryzen 5 1600 for a build I made for a family member. It runs there games quite well since they aren't very demanding. I picked up a cooler for $15 of Amazon and it is a dream combo for under $45!

I paid 19 bucks for Ryzen 3 1200af

Running same motherboard with the 5600G, undervolted it and for months it runs without any issues

Me who got 2200g then upgrading to 5600x the result was amazing

4 cores 4 threads is really not enough in 2023
