Is "duck and cover" not a thing in other countries or even other U.S. states outside of California? That's second nature response if you're stuck inside of a building in a big earthquake. Of course, everyone in California just waits to see how big it will be before doing anything. We all sort of freeze. If we're just swaying and some lights are swinging, we just wait for it to be done and continue doing whatever we were doing. Stuff has to fall for us to duck and cover, or if we are near an exit, get out.
ОтветитьEarthquakes are different, you don't run for cover, you run for open area so nothing falls on you.
ОтветитьI love that this video doesn't include Chile. Probably cuz we are calm af during earthquakes
ОтветитьOne year around `69 I was on holiday with my family in Portugal. I had my own room. My bed was to one side of this fairly large room. One morning I woke up and my bed was in the middle of this room. I was clueless till I went down to breakfast and everyone was talking about it, pictures broken on the floor etc...I also slept through the great storm of `87 (UK) !
The only quake I have actually `experienced` happened above the Chamonix Valley around `02. My friends and I happened to be watching a Sky doc about earthquakes, sort of freaky really!
It was short and sharp and over within 5 secs. No aftershocks that we could feel.
The 1989 SF earthquake caused damage in the "10s of millions" it was 14 Billion adjusted lol.
ОтветитьMy friend is from Nepal
Ответить🌹🇮🇱🤍💙🇺🇸🇺🇦❤🤍💙💛
ОтветитьDamn I feel bad for anyone 😢
ОтветитьLoma Prieta is a peak in the Santa Cruz mountains attributed to the epicenter of the 1989 quake. My first one felt after moving to CA in 1984. That section is not what broke in the 1906 event.
ОтветитьThe year is that bad and then I am not even able anymore and I’m still sick of my life
ОтветитьThat one in Trinidad was scary
ОтветитьAnd the list doesn't mention the 2004 Indonesian earthquake. As I remember it was a 9 earthquake, more than 200k people died : /

ОтветитьGoodbye..always love you.
ОтветитьThe Turkey and Japan earthquake a lot stronger than these that you’ve posted! Turkey lost close to 100,000 people!
ОтветитьThis was so scary.
ОтветитьThis video maximizes the sounds, screams and insecurity, mythologizing the events which is not realistic
ОтветитьWhat was the magnitude?
ОтветитьDude in Trinidad said "Bye I'm outta here - you're on your own!"
ОтветитьNorthridge was my last earthquake. Had a baby... pregant wiith another. Only about 30 miles from Northridge.
ОтветитьChrist that's scary. IF WE DON'T LAUGH WE CRY. NO INBETWEEN. Bob Hope; When earthquakes strike I just jump on a helicopter and say; FOLLOW THAT CITY! On one occasion I stayed in bed for a few days and ended up with 3 different postcodes. ❤😢❤😢❤😢❤😢❤😖😭; a one-a and a two-a and a goodbye to you-a 🫡

ОтветитьThe Japan earthquake in 2011 was on my birthday. Horrible news to wake up to 😢
ОтветитьI have a faint memory of being with my dad watching the '89 World Series when the earthquake struck. I was too young to grasp the situation fully, but I sensed something was wrong. I reside in an area prone to tornadoes and hurricanes, which is challenging in itself, yet I can't fathom the fear of dealing with earthquakes
ОтветитьSan Francisco 6.9 Earthquake in 1989! I was there in San Francisco in July of 89 my first time visiting The City. It was hard to imagine anything happening to the most beautiful and breathtaking area in the entire country! I went back East for my sophomore year in undergraduate school and a girl I dated at the time ran into the college library were I was working and told me about the quake from watching the World Series! I couldn’t reach my friend who lived in Sacramento for like 2 weeks! Many mixed emotions as I watch this video and the profound sadness I felt about that marvelous city! But also encouraged by the bravery shown by all citizens to help out! God bless San Francisco!
ОтветитьHow is #1 worse than #2?
Ответитьthe way this guy narrate this video makes it sounds like a spotevent
Ответитьthis was so epic! i love mr breast!
ОтветитьNo Chilean footage, u nuts? Those r brutal
Ответить4th video is in 2008 China..... SiChuan, there are hundreds of videos from that tragedy, which killed 69000 people. Your research is really poor.
ОтветитьYou're missing Mexico's 2017 earthquake.
ОтветитьLiving in Colorado earth quakes, tsaumi's and hurricanes don't exist thankfully. Just the occasional bi or tri annual blizzard and tornadoes that don't really amount to anything
ОтветитьLol @ how useless women are in emergencies. Like, you screaming only makes it worse for everyone you dummy.
ОтветитьTwo annoying things with this channel
1. They spoil two of the videos in the beginning of the video
2. They describe the scene then play the scene which also spoils the scenes.
