Tears of the Kingdom is the HIGHEST-RATED GAME EVER

I put over 100 hours in the game before beating it just to map out my perfect run strategy all over again. Seriously a game in a class of its own…

I don’t think this game is a 10/10. I loved all of the new areas and bosses, But I was dissatisfied with the dungeons, and especially the story. I think it’s 8.5/10.

I've already beat it I'm a ten year old and have tennis twice a week and I've beat it in a few weeks

It’s a bit overhyped tbh but still better than BOTW across the board.

I think it falls flat when it comes to believing in some of its own ideas and gameplay mechanics, as if in some regards they were holding back needlessly.

Why not have fan+shield powered gliding?

Why not put some of the dungeons in outer space?

They teased a huge epic war and some military stuff throughout the game, so why not have some larger scale military campaign type quests?

You had Zelda as an immortal dragon with no way of turn back into a human? That’s crazy impactful and meaningful from a story perspective! Why cheapen her sacrifice by deus ex machina’ing her back out of nowhere with no explanation?

They introduced the gloom and new enemy types, but why not take it further? Instead of just a simple particle effect for gloom enemies why not have them mutate into new grotesque and terrifying forms to make underground exploration even more terrifying? Imagine these: an entire troupe of bokoblins fused together by gloom into a writhing amalgamation, gloom lynels that have gloom hands sprouting out of them that they use as legs, enemies with entire weapons fused into their bodies by gloom, gloom gleeoks that are a nearly unrecognizable mass of heads and gloom tendrils dropping down on you from the ceiling.

Imagine hives of gloom mutated gibdo hiding behind ore deposits in the underground that swarm out like pissed off wasps when you blast the ore veins open.

Idk TOTK seems like a great game that’s just too afraid to push it’s own ideas to their natural limits.

I don't think you can make a better game than this. The Music? Perfect. The Mechanics? Perfect. The Gameplay? Perfect. The story? Perfect. The only thing I can think to make it better is just some small qol changes. I'm interested to see what Nintendo does for the next game in the franchise.

It literally is the best game I’ve ever played.

Tears of the Kingdom is a great game, however I wouldn’t say it tops BOTW. I expected Nintendo to take a bigger step than the did. Sure the new runes and sky/depths are cool, but other than those not much happened. It felt like a copy and paste of BOTW with different skins and the champion abilities aren’t even good. Which leaves me feeling kinda sad since it was such an anticipated game.
