Okay so I’ve had another channel that I haven’t used in a while. It had a video (it was in a different niche) that I had uploaded almost a year ago but I had deleted it so I could turn the channel into a horror game channel. The channel didn’t have no more than 8 subscribers. I already uploaded two horror games one last week and one today, the one from last week didn’t do too well but I hope the one today does something. Will this affect my channel at all?

I abandoned my old channel with over 1,000 subscribers because people just weren’t watching. Now, after spending years on a new one, I’m approaching that same position again, 800 subscribers and still lucky to get 50 views per upload. 😞😞

It’s pretty ridiculous that it’s possible to do irrevocable damage to your channel AT ALL, but especially when your channel is new. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

I have some older videos without thumbnails that haven’t got much views. What do you think, could I make the thumbnails now afterwards or is it just waste of time?
Same thing with topics and description, is there any point fixing them? Also, should I delete underperformed videos if fixing isn’t a good idea or can I just leave them on the channel?

Thanks for the video. It feels like such a crapshoot with the algorithm, sometimes. I wonder if anyone really knows what is going on, though. My intuition is that the algorithm is constantly readjusting every second to trends and huge amounts of data it gets every moment, thus it's very hard to predict with certainty what will fly and what will crash. It's like fishing in a stormy sea. You can catch something but it's not easy.

I think this is part of why one video can do really well but others tank.

I believe the solution would be to experiment, soldier on, and recognize that the almighty algortithm can be like a careless or uncaring god sometimes. Hard not to take it personally when you put so much effort into videos and only get 3 views on them. 😔

But I think hard work and patience will work out in the end.

So I think my channel is dying. One of my first videos is me saying goodbye to my dogs, this video was recommended to people who watch 10 hour videos of random people sleeping… no joke. I make unique gaming music videos and a mix of other ideas. I don’t copy anyone. I know I deserve more than this.

mine happening the same. Suddenly whichever video I upload, it doesn't getting recommend at all.

I regualy upload movie related videos, getting between 2,500 and 3,500 views a day. Then amount suddenly dropped barely getting 100 views a day. Subscriber count was slowly creeping towards 1000 subs, but didn;t quite make it and has stopped increasing.

For no reason the algorithm chose to destroy my channel… I have no hope for reaching monetization in the near future 😢

This is highly discouraging. My channel is Master Chief reading through the bible chapter by chapter and literally, this just happened to me. 60+ videos in, 2 months, rapidly got 750 subs and then suddenly my views plummetted by around 94% and are slowly decreasing every single day

Finally, after hours and hours searching for the reason why all the videos on my channel just stopped getting recommended all of a sudden, when my channel was finally taking off... it's probably because I transitioned from 10 minute videos to 5 minute ones...
