I'm grateful that the Richard Nixon Foundation continues upholding the legacy of President Nixon. Personally, I find him to be a very interesting man, and I would like to continue learning more about him and who he was.

I’ve been a Democrat since age 18. Ideologically I’m a socialist but Nixon has always fascinated me on a personal level. A rare president who was usually always the smartest guy in the room and was a genuine success in foreign policy. So kudos to the Nixon Foundation for keeping his legacy alive.

These guys were just absolutely classy and smarter than our current candidates.

Listening to this gives me a sad. If Trump and Harris actually debate, if they go for 3, they in all that time will not be as well spoken and versed in policy than you see in the first 10 minutes of this debate. But luckily I think both will bow out of a single debate because we are now idiocarcy.

Nixon killed Kennedy in these 1960 debates. But being one of the first televised debates ever, it proved how much looks and preception mattered to TV viewers and how important it was. Nixon sounded smarter, more prepared and more eloquent, but his 5 o clock shadow and sweaty forehead failed him, as the handone, suave, and alwwys perfectly pressed and put together appearance of Kennedy "won" him the debate for TV viewers.

I came here after watching Trump-Kamala debate and noticed how the politicians were in debate with respect, intelligence, and answering all questions. Now, politicians are based on rhetorics, insults, personal issues, populism, and populations following all those negative ways of debate instead of insist to change that way.

This was before the parties stopped trying to hide how terrible they were… now we just get a bigger dumpster fire on both sides of the isle every 4 years

They speak of the Prestige of America,They neednt have worried back then. It truly was the height of America and its standing back then, with competence and eloquence in its leaders. And the way America uniquely held itself to a higher standard than most.

If theres anything that has degraded the prestige of this country, its the deteriorating quality of these debates and the quality of its leaders...
...if there was any point in which the prestige of america was at an all time low, it would be at present.

It's incomparable to any debates with Trump and others similar to him (G. W. Bush)... the decline in quality is quite obvious! US adversaries r more than pleased and ready to fill the gap... Hope that Americans will sooner than later realize what lack of quality means not just for them, but the whole free and democratic world!
