The problem is you can even order an EV6 or Ioniq 5 at the moment is Australia. The judges really should consider availability and wait times when reviewing which cars are best in Australia. I doubt you can get your hands on either of the Kia or Hyundai within the next 12-15 months

Again - why are we testing the model Y single motor version? or why as the dual motor been left out and doesn't get a mention? - the twin motor version fits well under the $120k mark (in fact cheaper than the GV60 included in the test) - does 0-100 in 3.7 sec, better brakes and stiffer suspension and longer range, you can also add in the model 3 long range and model 3 performance into this category as well as the BMW ix3, ix1 and i4. These lists have been nonsense for quite a while now.

why not add charging to be a factor as well?

I know looks / design are subjective but they are factors. And in my opinion the KIA is ugly AF. The Volvo is much prettier. Also you guys need to account for waiting lists.

Is it practical demonstrating these EVs when there is such a gap price-wise - $50,000? If you were thinking of something around $75k you won't be considering a $120k car.

The Kia should finish last automatically as it is not actually for sale. Walk into any Kia dealer and they just say over 18month wait.

What FHead thinks 71K is affordable for the average family in this day and age of hyper inflation? That tesla looks the shittest and what moron would buy a car with white interior. Every time I ride in or drive a tesla I feel ripped off by their cheapness. Was tempted to get an EV6 foe the miso until I watched the Ross Review on what it's realistically like to live with one. Oh well guess I'll have to upgrade the Stinger with an exhaust, injectors, intake and computer to get that electric like sub 4sec quarter. Oh I forgot to mention the miso is a bigger revhead than me, ha ha. I'm sticking with my diesel fourbies so I can roll coal over those EVs.

Too bad that charging infrastructure is atrocious at the moment… Expensive cars to run around the city, useless for family road trip…
