what type of strategy do you usually use in your trading for stop loss?

I find that when I’m trading crypto I tend to stay in the trade too long to try and account for trading fees then the market reverses and I hold too long waiting for it to recover. Trading fees for crypto when using leverage can get expensive. I end up Holding my losers longer than I hold my winners. Sigh*

There is no way to properly measure the success of a trading system/strategy without a stop-loss, as a stop-loss allows you to STANDARDIZE your Reward-to-Risk-Ratio.. You can get close by using Options (i.e. if buying them at ~ same cost on every trade and just use that as you max risk), but that can be tough with IV changing all the time.
