Power BI Project For Beginners | Sales Insights Data Analysis Project - 9 Changes Based On Feedback

Can anyone help with the new added 3 columns? I imported the dump_v2.sql then added the 3 columns to the original database, then refreshed in powerbi. Now in this table it updates the column names, but values are gone. How to fix this? I also try to connect it to a new powerbi file and it works, so it should be the problem with refreshing.

I may get how to do this: I just found that transforming the data in powerbi didn't change anything to source data in mysql, so I cannot add the new 3 columns to the original table. Instead, after transforming the data in powerbi shown in the tutorial, I clean(in 'format') the 'currency' column to trim spaces, then merge this table with the new table imported from dump_v2.sql. Finally only keep needed three ones. Any better method please share :)

For all who are confusing that the transactions table didn't have "profit_margin_percentage", "profit_margin", "cost_price". We have used "db_dump.sql" . There is another Sql text file "db_dump_version_2.sql" in the link sir has shared in the description of the Video. Use that file it has those extra columns

can someone tell me the differnece between profit margin% and profit margin contribution % what are those columns in the video i'm stuck here!?

​ @codebasics norm_sales_amount= 102 and cos_price=62.22.. So profit margin=sp-cp =102-62.22=39.78.. this is fine but how you got profit margin % ...If you say from the above example...Then profit margin% = ((102-62.22)/62.22)*100 =39%. So for the first row profit_margin% is = 39%, but you have written 0.39... Explain me only this part.. If possible explain me formula also.

The thing i didn't get is where did cost price and Profit margin came from I have followed all the videos and made a Power bi report , and there was no were about cost price and margin other than that ,the video is great , but i am stuck can cannot do what they are doing now ,also there are no comment of thing like this , how you poeple are doing Plz help me out

some formulas were just included or copy pasted without any description. like the margin called profit margin contribution percentage, i didnt understand the formula, what does the all() function do and why it was used. and i am doubtful about its outcome as well since it gave out some contradicting facts about the profit. Like how the biggest revenue generating market(more than 50 percent) can contribute such poor in profit? dont u think it was something wrong with the analysis or the formula or data because it cant be the real life scenario. certainly the company isnt giving away free products in delhi. Many things in the video is so confusing. i cant hear the second guy properly most of the time. can you remake the video or are there any updated power bi project in your chanel? How to find products that made no revenue? Because we don't have to stock the product if it doesn't make any revenue of a long period of time right!

if data are not changing on other pages by clicking slicer on page.1 then you've to sync the slicer. For that you've to go on View > Sync Slicers > then have to click on slicer which you want to sync > select pages to sync.
