What an ending. Yeah, it sucks for the people living in the AoT universe, but that was quite amazing to witness.

I liked the original ending but the additional papers are really trash. I understand what they mean, that history repeats itself,it is realistic and so on but by destroying the Paradise Isayama made Eren's death pointless and made him look like a clown
It'd be better if they show how the island develops, negotiates with other countries throughout the years and don't show anything at all, stopping animating after 138 chapter

For anyone who has trouble coming to terms with the ending: When Eren started the rumbling he fully wanted to destroy 100% of the outside world but the future was always set in stone because no matter what occurred, his friends would try to stop him but he could never kill his friends so the rumbling was bound to fail regardless of what happened. Because in attack on titan there is only one timeline that cannot be altered. Eren started the rumbling for a purely simple and childish reason. He always wanted to see the wondrous world depicted in Armin's book but when it turned out to be a cruel world where his people are persecuted and his home doomed for destruction, Eren hated the outside world, as he and his friends still were not free. Eren was not a good person which is a common misunderstanding, ever since he was born he was willing to kill anyone who tried to take his freedom away, he was obsessed with gaining freedom and he would do anything to attain it, which he could only gain through flattening the outside world because if he didn't his home island would be destroyed and his friends would die. But since his friends decided to stop him for the greater good, the rumbling was doomed to fail. Then, when he realized that the future was inevitable, he switched to making his friends look like the heroes of the world so they could live the rest of their days with freedom which Eren always longed for. Then of course the icing on top of Isayama's beautiful writing is that a hundred or so years later, after Eren's friends live long happy lives, Paradis gets annihilated by the outside world. Floch was right. Either the outside world or Paradis had to be destroyed because neither side could forgive the past but Eren achieved in prolonging this outcome and allowing his friends to live long lives before Eldia's ultimate demise.

Greatest anime ending.

The last scene could be better , if you leave a little space between "around me" , and "eren", but still hits really hard, amazing edit.

This was a good ending. Not the greatest but it's good. The extra pages were the ones that ruined it. Not because of Isayama, he was fine with this ending already. It was his damn editor who forced him to give a new ending.
