JS is junk. Take it from a grey-beard. Learn Python / Ruby and learn the basic workings of JavaScript, then learn Rust.

Picking Python vs JS dictates you work out a dilemma: Do you want to risk 40% probability of becoming a femboy, or do you want a guarantee to only have gay relationships

If you don't know any programming language yet, changes are you have no idea what "full stack developer", "front end" or "back end" mean.

For mobile app development, i learned that python can be used for the server side and javascript for APIs, is that correct?
I'm new to coding and i want to build some apps.

Legit just learn one and if you ever need the other it's an easy transition imo.

I learned to drive Automatic Cars and it was the biggest mistake of my life (well in terms of learning to drive cars) I think that since JavaScript is Ubiquitous it is the same as driving automatic so do yourself a favour learn Python 🐍 because sooner or later you will have no choice to learn JavaScript… on the other hand if you learn JavaScript you will be able to survive without Python and you will maybe not have any incentive for learning it I think that learning both is the way to go…

Gaining popularity on the server? I’d say it’s already as popular as python on the back end if not more popular, lol.

Now , I am asking, shouldn't you be learning both?, Web apps in general are much more popular as it's the most easiest way to showcase what you have built especially to non technical people.

Doesn’t matter. Learn either. You’ll end up using both at some point anyways.

I learned python first, but if I could do back I would learn JavaScript. It’s more tactile, being able to watch the screen of the browser update as you edit your code.

I learn python (& django framework) and javascript (& react js), But I work with php. In my local job market php is still the king for web development (especially with laravel).

Go Python,
Learning is so easy, once you know programming, learn javascript

Remember kids, you can not/should not choose a language for life, you need to learn a new entire language/framework every 1-2 years.

Most important about your choice is picking something you try to get actually good at.

When you are starting, dont try to be a jack of all trades. Get good at one or two things first as a way into coding and then build on that.

Also: discere faciendo - learn by doing.

python is a must, because no back-end no app at all, but if you really want to build a userfriendly graphical interface, the browser with js is the best choice
