I was playing PC2 just yday for the first time in more than a year

I’ll say this - when PC2 is bad, it’s infuriating, but when you find a good car + track combo, it’s still extremely good fun

Still looks amazing if you can max out the graphics, and I’ve never thought the physics - with certain “good” cars - was as bad as everyone said

Great game, worst flaw is the absolute crap ton of bugs it has.

1 has the best ffb on console hands Down. Greeting the settings right was a bit of a struggle

Pc2 is an all you can eat ice cream shop of cars. Create endless combinations of flavors like indy car on lemans or mini cooper on ice track. Game can never be finished

Playing only in VR these days and... AMS2 or Pcars2 mostly.
RRRE and AC are next, but content is also unequal. And odd bugs here and there. ACC and iRacing are Expensive! No thanks.

Finally, someone who thinks from inside my garage. It is by far the most complete and best looking package, and nothing compares to the classes that they nailed = more sim/accurate than the most alleged best sims. Even race drivers agree with this. Moreover, my job (not this account) is to scrutinise vehchles - I've actually driven very fast race and track vehicles,as well as F3 based open wheelers at Olton Park.

On PlayStation we have a whole community that chats regularly we are the last people keeping project cars 1 alive!

Just ordered my first wheel , a G293 , to replace my gamepad and ... having spent dozens and dozens of hours on PC2 with my gamepad , it is the game that Im the most eager to try out first when the wheel arrives

The extreme variety in diciplines of racing , as well as proving that "plug and play" doesnt also have to mean "compromised" or "toned down" when it comes to a racing sim is the reason why I love it so much

Its also why Im not as excited to try out ACC , and even though I bought it , I havent played it nearly as much as PC2 ...with its singular focus on GT cars and even though it goes in far more depth than PC2 in those cars... I just wish it had that for all racing disciplines

Also I once got rFactor2 on sale but its just not playable on a controller so now I have an excuse to try it , after it has been sitting on my steam library for years with only 45 minutes of playtime ...

I'm a NEWB. Been with DCS world ever since is was Flanker 2.0. A wanna be Hornet Pilot. Then one day about a year ago I got bit by the Sim Race bug! Indy mostly in mind. I'm a Damn Yankee. So.... since there isn't really a dedicated sim to Indy I've searched the net over and found bits and pieces of Indy. Adapted to F1. I like F1! I like EA's F022 and I have a few of those. But my favorite is Indy. So I even signed up with iracing just to get in that damn IR18! It's good. I think the iracing tracks are nice and detailed. The iracing sim wants a very powerful machine and mine is powerful enough but then I don't like the fact that iracing from Dallara did a 180 on us! That's bigger business as were all victims to technology. I also don't like renting a game and not owning anything along with having no say so according to "iraqing's" LOL One way street EULA?!! What happened was I discovered a combination of KAOS Moding team, AMS2's failure to produce as advertised a IR18, and Project cars What? I'm new. A rook right?! Project cars 2 is being pulled and I don't even know what it is. Then after the fact I discover that I should have bought it when I could have. But wait.... there's more..... I decide to search the world over for a Project Cars 2 PC download. And I find it. Deluxe version. Project Cars Limited edition.... the first one. $26.33 So I buy them and they come with Steam 🔑🔑s
So I install them! Install KAOS's cool 3D IR18 Road series Mod (Oval is in the making)... And I can't believe this!! I feel like I hit the jack pot. And PC2's DW12 Indy ride's are so cool! To start with I wanted something cool so I splurged and bought Fanatec v3 pedals. V2.5 RIM with podium paddles and a GT-DD pro wheel base. I've driven the iracing's IR18 and it is very decent. I have driven rFactor2's Dallara IR18. I have it. I also loaded KAOS's IR18 to AMS2 and it has a slight accelerator problem as I hit first gear and it is slow to accelerate. But this same Mid in Project Cars 2 in first gear, when I hit the gas... the rear end will break loose but I have control is I am careful! Fun! Better late than never! PC2 is fun!

PC2 will be delisted in near months! Lapsing licenses! Get it before it's too late. Still the best 1 player career in a SIM. And ridiculously awesome just click start and play -gameplay.

I'm seriously thinking of buying PC2 instead of spending £70 on Gran Turismo 7! I miss the old days when you bought a game, and everything you needed was already instead. We now have quarterly patches and constant DLCs in modern games to keep you spending yet more money.

One of the most complete racing sim ever made , 1000 menu and settings , 60 tracks , amazing cars , one of the best ffb ever , great physics, great graphics, great sound , engine sound , view settings , the most complete ever. Wheather system

This game still holds up well to this day as long as you can live with some idiosyncrasies. My favourite car and track combo would be the Porsche 935/77 and Spa.

The epic chilling menu soundtrack felt like an opening of a movie.

Cars are interesting physics wise some drive like a car, some love the fronting the walls, leman cars feel intense espcially the old ones.

PC2 was my first sim. I found the pit engineer very helpful, especially with some of the cars appeared un-tuned. Still playing it years later.

Somehow it got the best content. Great cars, great tracks. It had it all.
But sadly the first month or at least half a year, after release, it had many annoying flaws. For example the bug were entry Formula cars had almost no grip at the rear, because the tyres didn´t heat up properly. I first thought it was my fault and my setup was bad, so i worked and worked on it.. Until i read in the forum about it. But when it got fixed, i was doing something different and went on.

I think Project Cars 1 is the best compromise. The shadow effects are iffy but it runs very well on my computer. The UI took some getting used to but not bad to use for actually racing once you have the graphics, controls and force feedback set up well and never have to go back in. PC 2 runs at various framerates, at least on my rig and the phsics don't feel as good to me. . I CAN'T STAND the UI in Assetto Corsa and it only detects my Thrustmaster wheel when it wants to so I rarely play it. Also talk about no grip. All I do is spin out. I don't know why it gets so much praise

most of my sim racer friends i have on steam today was thru PC2 more than any other platform did for me

My only problem with this game and the potential that have is, the damn physics between the gamemodes and grip. Example: in the same exactly configurations and track and car. The car grip changes so much in private test compared to solo race against ia. In practice the car feels way different and grips than private test. Then in racing is another story, almost unplayable like driving on soap tires. AND I DONT KNOW WHY!!! I mean, is so notorious.

Project Cars is the only sim with a decent career mode. As someone who doesn't care about online racing (and isn't good at it) that alone makes it special. I don't care if it's an "arcade feature with no place in a sim" (heard that one plenty of times), I get enjoyment from roleplaying a career against bots.

If they supported pc2 instead of making pc3 it could have been the best sim in racing
