Interesting to see you trying to develop a practical form for this weapon. Any idea how it fares against long weapons like spears, and also how easy/difficult is it to manuever and parry with.

It definately looks like proper defense against your strikes would require striking into your strike, and keeping it on the strong of the blade or it very likely could blow through.

Pacing for your sword may be vital, as it could be easy to overdo it and gas yourself out if you don't. Haven't seen many of your clips, but i bet your form focuses on fluid flowing motions and not fighting the inertia of your weapon, not too unlike how a mace or maul are used.

It appears that proper distance control and defensive strikes are perhaps even more crucial with this weapon that with more traditional blades.

Wow, this is delusional. If anyone's seen a real round of HEMA (historical European martial arts), you'll know how quick the footwork is, how quick the angles are. A normal sword, spear, or mace would mess you up more than enough, and with a speed that you cannot counter with your video game "combos".

As someone who actually practices HEMA and Combat sports... This guy aint doing crap. Someone could actually get in close and get him. Youd have to be a monster of a man to practically use it effectively, but theres always throwing weapons and longswords, or even rapiers that could outclass this. This videos just goofy.
