Not my taste, it looks uncomfortable to me. What I did like, besides the rooftop, was the underground kitchen storage.

I was thinking - that's a little narrow. But then they got to the roof deck. I'd spend all my time there.

Not bad. Would have a glass mezzanine floor above the entrance to make another room which would still allow light in.
A hand rail on the stairs leading to the roof would be safer.

Of course this has to work for them and their way of life, but walking through the kitchen and the bathroom is a difficult compromise imo. No real living room would also be hard for me.
This feels like a tourbus to me.

P.S. Pimp up that balcony. It seems like the filet piece of this house and could be a much nicer space

idk....maybe its apersonal choice but i didnt liked the distribution of the layout, nor the tiny windows and the curtains...the cluttered spaces with stuff didnt made it any better...neither the choice of furniture...it looks like it did not have a cohesive design overall....sorry. I do like how it looks from the outside, including the terrace...just not the inside. The inside needs better interior design.

I guess the design is really good. But it hasn't been used to it's full potential by the clients because of their peculiar furniture and interior choices. There was so much more aesthetic things that we could have done here with the furniture while adding more warmth and look to the place. Currently, the locker and dining table looks like borrowed from an old withered house which just look misfit this amazingly designed space.

The mirror and glass doors are fabulous, but I can only think of all the fingerprints on them ruining their esthetic. Especially with small children. I could not!

Well. It was the most individual house that i've ever seen. I saw really a lot of more or less beautiful interiors. And now i believe that design could not be more important than convenience of people who live there. House individuality is a pearls that i'm looking for. And here are really nontrivial decisions that declare lifestyle of exactly this people, this family.

Did not like this at all , it’s not very practical. The double height kitchen is such a waste of space , and having to walk through the bathroom to go to the upper floors ?? And what about the open staircase ? How dangerous with children ! It feels very impractical & cluttered , IMO .

I love the idea that these houses are 'tiny'. The Victorian UK street on which I live has no houses that are wider than a basic car is long, and a couple are even narrower.
Who knew the Victorians were hipster?

If someone is in the bathroom, and someone else wants to go from the bedroom to the kitchen needs to wait until the one in the bathroom goes out to proceed going to the kitchen, this is not quite functional haha

is this intended as a life-time house? Is there a will to move closer to nature, and live wider, in the future? Does this house fill the wants of Yugo's family and himself? I personally value the art of creating with hands: woodworking, leather-working, knitting, sewing, etc. Contradictory to my stance, any studio or space that allows the chance to fullfil something is valid. Attachement to home property is not a requirement. One has a preference of seclusion or communality. In my stand point, owning a personal studio is important, as building with own tools gives additional value for the product.

Cutesy and all but bathroom as hallway is very impractical. 🥲 maybe it's an okay transitional house, but once the kid becomes a toddler he can remember small details already. He will grow up with memories of passing through the bathroom and seeing mom and dad bathing. 😳

So, you don't have privacy while sitting on the toilet or showering. And your child won't be able to go to the livingroom/outside or leave his or her room... Doesn't seem like a great design to me, I would rather put the shower and the toilet appart in a room so people can use the stairs without intervening the bathroom.

I thought it was a very clever use of space. The thing I loved the most was the front door and the Atrium. The only thing I didn`t like was the Bathroom was also the passageway for the Bedrooms so this wouldn`t be private enough for an Englishman like me. Maybe they could at least have have made the bathroom toilet private.

Sooner or later they have to come up with alternate solution for the access to bedrooms....walk through bathroom to go to bedroom is worst idea...none of the architect would have thought that....why not to use laundry space with spiral stairs and leave laundry in bath room....
