Hi Mr. Ben Marriot, thanks for sharing! After downloading your files and take a look at the details of psd and aep files, I indeed learn a lot! And also realized it is not complicated in AE, the light and shadow layes would be a hug task in PS.
Also I like way to add light and shadow by mask feather. Simple but good-looking.
Use tools smartly to create a better work and save time!
I always thought PS timeline is somehow useless until the extension you introduce today. Thanks! (i was drawing next frame while the previous frame is 50% transparent...)

Amazing video!! I followed the sketch on Photoshop, but I was hoping you could point out how to then color the layers in after effects. I didn't fill my layers in PS, so I'm wondering, do I have to fill in the sketch in PS and then edit the layers to be a different color in AE? Thank you

Thanks for another great video! (Very timely too, I'm working on a video about a game in the ocean and splashes are definitely something I was thingking abotu using.

I do have a question, I haven't been able to find too much information about it but when animating frame by frame or stop motion, is there a reference guide for the speeds that thigns should occur at? How many frames for the splash for example, or how long camera moves usually take per degree etc?

Usually there is little drop shooting out, after the water that the ball pushed down comes back up again.

You can see this nicely in the "droplets collision" video of the slow mo guys.

What version of ps are you using? I tried to get animdessin for cc 19 and it didn't work out.
