From an Astrologers standpoint, Twin Flames are EXTREMELY rare....like less than 1%. More often than not when I see a couple saying they are Twin Flames, what they are talking about is a Plutonic Relationship...meaning a Relationship where Pluto plays a large theme in their composite or Synastry chart. I can understand why they would think it's a Twin Flame because many of the themes are similar (one of the signs of a TF is both of them going through this extreme pain...once they experience that they ascend together) but more often there is a price being paid here....which is a sign of Pluto (debts).

The Twin Flame thing makes me think of other phenomenon in sound and light, e.g. two identical sounds will cancel or "phase" each other out. However two similar but not the same sounds will thicken or widen the sound, making it stronger and more lush. A phased sound is thin and unpleasant, and not workable by comparison. So in a relationship with someone, I would prefer some differences to make it more interesting and balanced.

In regard to People who you are fated to be with in one way or another, I think it's important to be aware that just because you are fated to be with them it doesn't always neccesarily mean that they are good for you, or will provide relief from suffering in any variety. Some people are fated to be with you as you are to them and you may be the good one for them, or they the good one for you, or you both be good for one another. There's definitely growth to be achieved through every person you're fated to be with. The tapestry is a good example, I believe. It's just one thread to the greater tapestry full of intricate patterns and designs and colors.
